!) So if someone is an atheist, they have no rights according to your theory? Nonsense! God's existence does not depend on your belief or disbelief.

eegads I'm sorry! I took your comment in a lotally wrong context. I thought you were being sarcastic. I guess after reading 1800 posts on this thread I am getting defensive.

"the widespread use of unmarked police vehicles"
With all due respect...95 is full of them and now they have been joined by military overhead, locals of all kins and so forth.
Don't let's forget ERic Rudolf. These people giving away rights for safety simply fulfill Bibllical prophecies....when they cry, "Peace, peace" also interpreted as safety..........there will be none.
They depend on arms of flesh which fail rather than allow prayer or encourage dependence on the God who first brought us the liberties we have.
To: Mulder
Mulder, I associate myself with your remarks. Others obviously disagree. Fine.
The question is not what we would do to stop the sniper or snipers. That is for law enforcement to decide. The question is which rights should we give up to catch these animals.
We could all take our weapons in and have them fired, signatured, cataloged. We could have every car searched on the highways each time there is a shooting. We could have each house searched within a certain radius of each shooting. And countless other things people much smarter than I could think of.
Some of us happen to believe that would be very unwise. We are entitled to that belief or we not.
To: Fred Mertz
"We all think it's the sniper, but the distance of the shoot was only 100 feet or so."
Actually, we don't really know that. We know it was about 100 feet to the EDGE of the trees, but the shooter could have been shooting from much further away than that.
To: Howlin
You didn't hit a nerve; you're a disruptor on this particular thread.HMMMM...Whatever....
To: Howlin
Nobody's changing anything about the Constitution. But if they did, according to you, you would loose your rights. It would be the same result as removing the n-word from the dictionary. Nobody could ever use it again.
Sheesh.

The Balloon Bomb Offensive
Japanese Balloon Bombs From a Gun Camera on a F6F Hellcat
In 1942.the Japanese realized that they could not hold Guadacanal from the Americans. So,they decided to make the war so costly for them that they would sue fo peace. But, the Japanese failed to realize that they were going against an enemy that was willing to accept heavy losses to win.So, in late-1943, Japanese scientists thought of a way to strike the American homeland.Since no Japanese bomber had the range to strike America, and they did not have any island bases near enough to the American coast, they made the balloon bomb.It was just as the name says it is.The balloon was made out of rubberize paper and carried 300 lbs. of bombs. They would release the balloon and it would rise up into the stratosphere, where the jet stream would carry it all the way to the United States. Then it would fall out of the sky and explode on anything it hit. Now, the ballon bombs actually worked! One made it all the way to Oregon and one actually was found in upper Michigan. But, they did not work the way they expected them to, not because of the bombs themsleves, but of the American government. In 1944, one of these bombs were found by campers in Oregon. When they decided to drag the bomb back to camp, it exploded, killing an adult and four children. When the American Army found out about this, they immediatly set up air patrols to found and destroy these bombs before one hit a city. Also, to keep the Japanese from finding out about the people that were killed, they asked the presses not to publish the story. Now, after a while, the Japanese became discouraged by the lack of news from the United States. So, they let up on launching the balloon bombs until they quit in mid-1945.
You know, the scariest thing about the balloon bombs is that if the Japanese knew about the five people killed in Oregon, they would've sent more, and with biological warfare test they were doing to the Chinese in Manchuria, they could've sent a biological bomb to the U.S. and well, you pretty much know what might happen.Even with that, I don't think the Japanese would've won anyway. The American Navy was too close and America itself was too powerful by late-1943 to make too big of a difference. So, it was just another terror weapon like the German V-1 and V-2.

Is this where I report abuse? Just wondering, being pretty new to posting here and all.
I thought this was a conservative website, you know, one that tolerates freedom of speech and other things granted us by that document you call your god.
Apparently, posting here long enough grants one immunity from being..well..you.

Now, you and your 'rights come from the constitution' can move on to be doltish with someone else. Hmm......well, Chicken Little, not only did you call me a Nazi, you then went on to insinuate I am a dolt and that there is something wrong with the fact that I said my rights come from the Constitution, not from God.
As I said, you look VERY familiar.
To: Howlin
God didn't write the Constitution; mortal men did.
The founders said that men are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights. Man, they were really sanctimonious weren't they.

RUMOR - EMAIL - THREAT? Is this related to the reference in the news conference - and can someone explain ?
To: DAnconia55
Don't forget your monthly gov't issued anal probe. Thanks. I wouldn't want to forget that, since it's punishable by 40 years in a work camp, where I'd have to listen to insane rantings over loudspeakers of those who would trade our Freedom for a false promise of security.
To: rolling_stone
So if someone is an atheist, they have no rights according to your theory? All men have rights regardless of their religious beliefs...
To: DAnconia55
I'll go one further. Tax paid training programs in every city in the nation. Glad to see I'm not alone. I think that could be done rather cheaply too, I think many people would volnteer to teach gun saftey and marksmanship.
