3 hours x 70mph = 210 miles travel possible.

So...is having your trunk opened a greater violation or being shot by a sniper? It will not be simple or without some sacrifice to catch this guy or group.

Anybody checkin for a grassy knoll around those trees?

Some ladder racks can be strapped or clamped on and be removed to change a vehicle description in less than a minute.A small, extended extension ladder could be kept on the ladder rack for looks and collapsed to fit inside the vehicle along with the rack.
Also, magnetic signs could be removed or added easily to confound searchers.
Just a couple of thoughts.

as soon as there is a shooting, they ALL go gas up, thinking he/they won't shoot again soon! It makes me madder than hell that those poor people are running their lives this way!

They won't find him. If you figure by the time the 911 call goes thru, the time the police get to the scene and the time it takes to call a road block in an area of which you had no time to figure out that you needed a road block this guy has gone over 7 miles in maybe 10 minutes. You have to figure within 20 minutes he is homefree.

If there are heavy line of trees, like woods behind the Ponerosa...why aren't they combing that area ?

Uh, Dr., we all know where this restaurant is, why weren't the police there waiting?
LOL, yep. That's about the idiocy of it.

In some ways, the Homeland Security bill must have some reorganizing of the FBI in it. The FBI analyst who was killed was a native of the town 20 miles south of me. The local paper interviewed her father, who said that the reason they had moved was because her job was being transferred to Homeland Security and her new job location would be closer to the new home.
That is the first I had heard of this, but I see no reason for her father to make up a lie about something like that.

So, if you were a car getting ready to be inspected, would you refuse?
To: Jimer
Hmmm, the sniper is not a fan of baseball or the US Air Force, since the Falcons are undefeated and playing Notre Dame tonight. Maybe it's a signal that he's not happy the Air Force is now chasing him

I am confused...Just saw footage of LE going through small cars. I think it was on MSNBC. My head is spinning out of control surfing 4 or 5 channels.
To: GirlShortstop
... MSNBC was covering the police at checkpoints. LE opening up trunks and looking in every vehicle. Am I still in America? If they get the permission from the owners then there is not a problem ..
The police are not forcing these trunks open .. the owners are opening them
