[history]
Two former high-ranking Pentagon officials in the Clinton administration were arrested yesterday on charges of extortion, bribery, money-laundering and witness tampering in a suspected scheme involving the awarding of contracts to minority firms.
U.S. Attorney Paul J. McNulty said Robert L. Neal Jr., 50, of Bowie, and Francis D. Jones Jr., 40, of Fort Washington, are accused of having used for "their own private enrichment" their management positions at the Pentagon's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU), a $28 million annual program.

"Those who have been granted the privilege of serving at the highest levels of public office need to understand that if they betray the public trust they will be prosecuted."Unless your last name begins with a C and ends with linton.

Mr. Neal has been awarded the Secretary of Defense's Outstanding Public Service Medal and Outstanding Achievement Award, the OMB's Special Performance Awards, OMB's EEO Award and OMB's Divisional Awards for Special Performance. For a corrupt Clinton appointee, he sure did get a lot of 'purty decorations.' Their dogs probably got some awards too, since they were handing them out to everyone who played by Clinton's rules.

I'm answering you for 2 reasons - first, don't get discouraged if it appears as if the big dog has gotten away with murder - which he has ... but the greatest defeat he can experience is losing his ability to earn a living (and becoming irrelevant) ... I am counting on his being so discredited he will no longer be asked to speak anywhere (no money honey) - and, hopefully, after GW appoints some new judges, x42's law license will be taken away from him forever.
The 2nd reason I'm sending you this msg is because I see you're from San Diego - me too! I'm starting a chapter here, do you want to be on my list to be notified when we have our first meeting???

Typical appointments of the Scumbag Administration.
What do you suppose the probability would have been that these two Scumbag Administration officials would have been arrested under a Gore Administration?
Haha, no need to answer - - it's a rhetorical question.

Will they RAT out others? You betcha, their RATS after all.I hate to say this, but if there is one thing that was shown over and over during the scandal-ridden Scumbag Administration, it is that those mobsters took Omerta very seriously. But I always wondered if it was out of principle or out of fear of getting wacked (Arkancided) if they opened their mouths.

I'm wondering how long it will take Bubba-2 to order Janet
Ashcroft to seal their records so they can't be tried. There is a election coming up,and he won't want to lose the black middle-class white collar criminal vote. We won't even hear of either of these guys serving a single day.

Let's not forget the Clinton pardon of Clinton's CIA director John Deutsch. He most definitely betrayed the "public trust".
