Hellooooo ...... Is it time for another blonde joke? Here's one anyway!

A phone company put an ad in the paper in order to recruit workers.

The next day, two groups of workers show up - a crew of five men and a crew of five blonde women.

The company can not decide who to give the job to, so they give the two groups a test. The company boss says, "Each crew will receive a telephone pole that must be installed into the ground. Whoever is able to hammer it in first will get the job."

Both groups agree that this is a fair test, so off they go in the Company trucks with the long telephone poles sticking out the back. A few hours pass, and finally, at 5:00, the male crew returns. "Yes!" they shout. "We came back first, so we get the job!!"

"Good work, men," says the boss, "However, we must wait until the other crew comes back to make sure that the reason they're delayed is not because of traffic or the truck breaking down."

"Fine, no problem," say the men. An hour passes, two hours pass, three hours. Finally, at 8:30, the Blonde crew arrives. All the group is flushed and breathing hard, as if they had just gone through harsh labor.

"What happened to you? What took so long?" asks the boss incredulously.

"What do you mean, 'what took so long'?? Do we get the job?"

"YOU get the job? No way! The men were back here HOURS ago!"

"Well, of course they were," say the blondes. "They only put the pole in halfway!!"

I haven't heard anyone explain this quote as well as Cliffy Clavin the postman on the sitcom Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his drinking buddy Norm...

"Well ya see Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back, that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest operating brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.

In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weakest brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Especially since our last one, Michael, was supposed to be Michelle.(in the days before sonograms my wife was hoping for a girl and wouldn't even pick out boys name. I named him in the hospital after he was born.) His brothers never let him live that down.

Well, nuts - I was really counting on meeting you and shaking your hand. If this deal gets done as well as I'm hoping, there should be lots more notice for a shoot in the spring.

Most us need more than 10 days notice for travel planning.
