The numbers don't look good. If there were say 200 snipers spread out through the nation and each could take out 20 people, then that would be 4,000 people dead in about a month. The police would be overwhelmed, they couldn't handle that level of activity. It could lead to a general breakdown of law and order where people don't think the police can protect them.

Last night I was walking across a shopping mall parking lot towards Borders bookstore where I had parked my car. It was almost closing time and the mall was just about empty. Suddenly I thought of the sniper and realized I was a 'sitting duck'. Every hair on my body stood to attention. It is a scarry feeling, to say the least.Those poor people in the Washington area, I know how they feel.

As I watched Chief Moose's noon press conference today, I got an uneasy feeling.

He was saying they didn't know anything, so keep those calls coming in. Tell us who has weapons and vehicles. Turn in your friends and neighbors.

I got the strangest feeling that the LEO's are not so much intrested in tips regarding the sniper(s), but are more interested in who else may be of a --any-- suspicious nature.

The LEO's are giving out no details that would lead the average daily shopper to scrutinize anyone. But the LEO's are wanting those calls to keep coming in.

Something doesn't sit right. If the LEO's really wanted help from the public, wouldn't they be releasing information which would lead shoppers to be alert to certain things? That conference today gave me the eerie feeling that the LEO's are using the sniper case for more than just info on white cargo vans. Sniff...something stinks and it's not 3-day-old fish.

You can't steal gas or slap a kid without being picked up on tape. Heck McViegh made it on tape. DC has more cameras than anywhere else. Yet there is no description of this guy at all. No grainy video stills, nothing. I find that odd.

From another WND article on the Beltway sniper(s): Authorities aren't sure anymore that the snipers are escaping shooting scenes on highways. They may be stationed locally and then draw back to nearby hideouts, which may explain how they've managed to slip dragnets.

As other Freepers have speculated (complete with maps of each "local area") could these "nearby hideouts" be mosques? Law enforcement staff will have to LOSE THEIR POLITICAL CORRECTNESS to investigate that theory!!!!
