You are deceived.

Perhaps; but it is you who are disagreeing with your own scripture (which explicitly lists many Old Testament Jews who did receive salvation, in Hebrews 11).

Jews who worshiped Baal were Jews in race only; they were not Jews by religion or observed the Jewish faith. As such, they are not relevant to this discussion.

On the contrary, they are exactly what IS relevant to this discussion; they clearly show that some Jews rejected the Covenant offered to them by God. As Hebrews also points out, there were other Jews who DID accept that covenant, and who were redeemed by it.

We as Christians believe that the Old Testament heralded the coming of the Messiah. Even Jews today think that, since they are waiting for the Messiah.

Here appears another one of your mistakes. You seem to be under the mistaken concept that the salvation made available by Christ is somehow different than the Covenant which covered the believers in the Old Testament. The problem with this belief is that Christ did not come to destroy the old Covenant, but to fulfill it. Christ is not a replacement for that Covenant, but a realization of it. If you reject that the Covenant is sufficient to provide salvation to the Israelite believers in the Old Testament, then you yourself are damned, since it is the SAME covenant that offers salvation to you both. The only difference is that it requires LESS faith on your part, since you have available to you the knowledge that Christ is already come, where the Old Testament Jews only had a promise that he would someday come.

Where we differ is in believing that Jesus was the prophesized Messiah. Jews (real Jews) don't believe Jesus was that Messiah

So now you're claiming that Jesus and the Apostles (not to mention sects like the Essenes, a vast number of which converted to Christianity) weren't really jews?

The bottom line is that you can believe that God will send a Messiah and at the same time renounced Jesus as that Messiah.

So can you provide a scriptural quote where Moses, or any other Old Testament patriarch, rejected Jesus as that Messiah? If not, then your argument once again falls apart.

So, believing a Messiah will come is not the same thing as believing in Jesus.

But believing THE Messiah promised by the Covenant will come is the same; something that the previously mentioned scripture makes very clear.

And Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation.

Once again, you are trying to create a difference where none exists. As has already been mentioned so many times, the coming Messiah fulfilled the Covenant between God and the Jews; it did not replace it.

"if we do not understand who the Lost Tribes of Israel really are, we miss a huge portion of God fulfillment of history. Hosea 1:10-11 and many other verses can not be reconciled without it. (Beyond that, we make decisions on international politics which are based on terribly flawed premises.)"

Been there, done that and so relieved to find out that I don't have to "jerry-rig" the Word any more to make it come out right.

God said what He meant and meant what He said and until one understands that the descendants of the House of Israel are by no means Jews (or Judah) and Judah(Jews) cannot supplant them without controverting God's Word (Old and New T) one is revisiting the wilderness wanderings due to unbelief.

Think the most essential prayer for these days is for eyes to see and ears to hear.

All Jews believe in a Messiah!

Hello!

Here's one who doesn't. There's no such reference in the Torah. In fact the idea is sort of excluded by Deuteronomy 34:10 (KJV - And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face). And common sense dictates against G-d needing to send one (or two) human being(s) to "fix" His work here on earth.

Feel free to e-mail me if you wish to fellowship and/or ask question.

LoL!

Ms. Betty: Trust me I know the Torah that Jesus read, and revered (Hello! What do you think, "I come to fulfill the Law," was a reference to? How would you translate "law" in to Hebrew?), probably much better than you will ever know. It's cute how you demean the Law as "old." Why do you keep a copy of this antiquated nonsense on your shelf?

You may know the Old Testament very well, but what you fail to see is that the Lord gave us a new Covenant, which was superior.

Sorry, but that stuff about G-d changing His mind is Muslim doctrine. The only stuff given directly came from Sinai, and isn't changing; not a single letter.

I asked you why you keep all that supposedly obsolete stuff on your bookshelf. The A-rabs don't keep it, but you do. Why?

(And don't bother to reply if you don't answer.)

>... Samaritans were half Jews (origin: sometime after 722 BC when Assyria conquered the northern kingdom, it moved the conquered people of northern Mesopotamia into Israel where intermarriage took place.

On rereading this part of your post I must take issue with the fundamental premise which I assume is that the Israelites who were taken into Assyrian captivity were Jews. This premise is defective since the larger 10 tribed Northern Kingdom was never Jewish. Jews came (later) from the 3 tribes which made up the Southern Kingdom.

Upon looking at her other posts, I'd say this person is trying to do an impression of Betty Bowers, who is also a parody

Yeah, "she's" a troll:
