I had the same thought. He kept kinda smiling, and I was thinking that someone that witnessed this certainly should not be smiling while recounting what they saw.

Got a feelin that the spy planes arn't looking for a sniper at all. You just ran a chill down my spine - and this big bad Marine doesn't spook easily.

Maybe the problem is the witness is a suspect??? Just a thought...That's thought went through my mind, too.

Re: this foreign "witness" we're talking about...Is he the one that said he was backing out of the parking space and saw 2 guys in a van? I can't remember exactly what he said.

"Oh, it does -- trust me."

The only thing I remember specifically is that he went into a spiel about why he was there at all, and I thought it odd that he felt he had to explain his presence at a Home Depot.

What are you getting at?
To: SarahW
Do you mean Raymond Massis, the guy who was on Wed (16th)... Judging by the transcript, his english is poor.
I see no other listing for witnesses who were guests on the show...
He, however, is not the source for the description of the shooter, his van, nor his weapon. He specifically says he did not see the shooting and says nothing about ever having seen the shooter.
So he could not be the reason the eyewitness reports have been deemed unreliable...

No, he's was only a witness who heard the shot coming from somewhere in the lot. He did not see the sniper, his weapon, or vehicle. He saw the fallen woman, did not see her shot. He heard the shot only.

I saw this guy on a Fox show and at the end of the interview, the anchor said. thank you for being here. To which he smiled and replie, "My pleasure" That caught my attention.
I think he was the contractor guy that heard the shot as he approached HD entrance and said he saw Mrs. Franklin go down. Other than that, he said he couldn't get a good look at the shooter or the van in question.
So, he only saw stuff a few minutes before the media showed all of us.
To: SarahW
Thanks. Like I said, I wasn't really sure what he actually witnessed, I just know he gave me the creeps and acted very strange. 8 * )

Moose was probably selected police chief because he is the kind that will let people like Ted Kennedy go when they are caught driving drunk or will set up surveillance on Republicans.

what are the spy planes looking for? the truth is paranoia does occur in a vacuum. we've been handed BS for a year, beginning with 9/11, then the anthrax debacle and now ordinary citizens being used as target practice in the DC area. what is going on? the only reality we have is that the government is unable to protect us and LE is back at square 1.

"The authorities are either terribly inept or they are acting stupid for a reason. Any ideas?" Yup. They're scared s#itless.

"Got a feelin that the spy planes arn't looking for a sniper at all." What are your ideas? Are you thinking that the sniping is a cover for something larger and they know it, could that be it? (George and Laura both are in the Southern US....)
