Fox News is now broadcasting a live news confernece with Chief Moose
I recall seeing 2 witnesses in a police car (2 females)being taken down for questioning according to the media.
I don't know about anyone else, but my take on this is that the moment the U.S. military had gotten involved in this thing was the last time Chief Moose (or anyone else who appears in front of a camera, for that matter) had any involvement in the investigation at all. They may as well be telling you that they're going to indict John Wilkes Booth for assassinating Abraham Lincoln.
I understand that the stock market may be a factor but do you really think that we are so callous that it is the only determining factor here.
If they are, then all their arses belong to us.
Will Whoraldo be a special guest? (Oops, guess not -- they shipped him out to Bali after the VA Hooter's fiasco.)
I saw Walsh on Fox this AM -- his show is sooooo important to this investigation that Fox bumped it for the baseball series -- his nose is out of joint.
Since there are no credible witnesses, and virtually no evidence, why would anyone want to watch Walsh? It's not as if this case hasn't been plastered all over every media outlet for two weeks...oh, yes -- AMW takes anonymous calls. Will anonymous calls be more "credible" than the on-scene witnesses who are now not "credible?" Stay tuned.
How soon we forget! All their arses ARE belong to us. There, that's better. :)

Now Fox news is reporting that the one witness that police say they had has been purposely giving false statements. What to place bets that this is one of the people that is claiming they saw people of ME extraction?

We have two options, the witness reports are either credible or they are not. If the witnesses are NOT credible how would that be? Well, eyewitness accounts have proven to be wrong on numerous occasions. Ok, problem number one. What do the police know which leads them to believe that the accounts are inaccurate?
Perhaps the witnesses all gave such varying descriptions that it is impossible to know which, if any, might be correct. This doesn't seem to be the case, unless the weight given the descriptions in the first place was overblown. *I think this is a distinct possibility given how our media reports in a crisis.
Now lets look at it as if the reports ARE credible. If the reports are good, why would the police retract them? First idea, perhaps they are afraid of a backlash against innocent ME's? I don't give this much weight, more likely to have had that problem after 911 than this instance and it didn't happen much then.
Second, perhaps the shooter(s), once they think they have given enough information away to get caught, will disappear. The police want the shootings to end as much as everyone else, but they want it to end because the bad guys have been caught, not simply run outta town.
Any other ideas?

Well, suppose the witness gave a description of where the alleged vehicle and shooter was, but then analysis of the crime scene (ie. victim) showed that the bullet had come from a different direction?
Three possibilities here, as I see it. First, the witness wants to give that information to distract from the real perpetrators. Why? Is he involved?
Second the witness could do this for personal attention or glory.
Third, the Police are lying. The description is vague but accurate as far as it goes. The witness is involved. The perps don't intend to get caught and let everyone know for sure it was a jihad, but want that possibility to simmer in our minds.
Two of the three possibilities have our witness as involved, which screws up the plan, UNLESS the perps want to be caught.
