Not sure i can tell you, it just SMELLED from the get-go. I did not believe that the shooter was as close as reported...He was across rte 50, as per his MO..

I just could not buy it that the shooter was seen shooting.......in my mind, he is too good for that to happen.

I'd have a hard time distinguishing one from the other while I'm looking out for my safety, looking at the dead person on the ground, trying to get a license plate, and trying to get a good look at the shooter. Why don't they say it could be one or the other? Something does stink here....

No problem I was just trying to highlight that I don't expect anything really meaningful to come out of the show.

It has always amazed me how John Walsh, and I do think he does a lot of good, has forgotten that when his son was kidnapped and beheaded, how the local law enforcement tried to paint him and his wife as being cocaine users, and possible dealers, and were somehow responsible for the murder of his son.

25 years ago Iselin was a middle class (mostly white )working class town....

New info from Fairfax: Cops have never been creating a composite sketch of the shooter, confirms that eye witness crap was bogus.

I think in this case it's because of the license number that went along with the vehicle. They have undoubtedly checked that out, and have dismissed the van with those tags.

Don't know WHAT they're looking for, but jrhepfer is right on the money with his analysis in post # 111. I don't think snipe hunting is the game afoot. You can lock video on a target vehicle such as an Iraqi tank in the middle of the desert and track it for hours. That's not going to work very well in an urban environment with a vehicle bobbing and weaving in and out of sight.

Again, Motherbear, I think you are right on! Informing the populace that this is in fact ME terrorism would make the markets sink like stones, and that would wreck the economy ever further...

I think that this will continue, perhaps in other locations, and we will still be stonewashed, as long as they can manage it.

There will come a point of no denial, however.

It's already been suggested in this thread that Mr. Witness could actually be the guy. Either that, or he took the opportunity to get face time from the networks -- something that the nets have fallen for in the past.

Well the thing that smells to me from the get-go is that on the evening of this murder Fox news was reporting that about 6 people had seen something and that 4 of them were claiming that the person was of ME of Hispanic extraction and that 2 were claiming they saw someone who was white. No I understand that eye-witnesses are not always reliable but when you have this many people that are saying the same thing it stands to reason that there is something there.

What I gathered from the news conference this morning, if one could gather anything from it at all, is that there was only one witness and they had been discredited. So it is, at this point, almost impossible to conclude anything from what law enforcement is telling us.

Anyone who has been working on Wall Street for more than a week is smart enough to realize that someone like a third-rate police chief is full of sh!t. The "market" will recognize this as terrorist activity long before Chief Moose does.

Yup, the sheriff (or what-ever he was) that was doing all the talking said that they had several witnesses. I wonder what happened? Now, we have only one witness and he can't be believed? Smells...smells...

I missed the news conference..When this was announced, did any of the stellar reporters ask what is being done to this false witness, because I would be frying his ass to the greatest extent possible to make an example of him for anyone in the future who may entertain the idea of drwing BIG attention to him/herself at the expense of this investigation.

In the meantime, the Feds have asked John Walsh to come into town and help all of the sheeple across the country feel safe. There is no way he could do this particular show without an o.k. from law enforcement. I want to watch his show tonight.

After all, if the eyewitness info. is all being discounted; then exactly what will Mr. Walsh spend an hour telling Joe Public what to be on the look-out for? I think that it will take about five seconds of air-time to tell everyone that we don't know what to look for.
