Yes. Someone with knowledge of gunsmithing and metalworking (and with the appropriate machine tools) can make just about anything. It's easier if you already have a barrel.

Right. Even without serious metalworking equipment, it can be done.

The Pakistanis in the NW Territories are famous gunmakers and during the Russo-Afghan war they turned out everything from pistols to full-sized heavy machine guns, all with very little advanced equipment.

There are Pakistanis there, eh? ;-)

can rifles/guns be custom-made so that no one would know the exact "model?"

Short answer - Yes.

One Witness describing van, man and weapon has been discredited in Home Depot shooting per FOX. I guess he is on the Terrorist band wagon.

This is because we only conduct tests.

Is it true that on 9.11.2001 the government's emergency broadcasting was never activated? I remember reading that somewhere, but I don't recall the source

"I saw an earlier post by you in a different thread about this being related to satanic worship. Given what we suspect, (after having Googled some more), do you think it could have a satanic angle?"

Where did I say that? I said that Sallom was an idiot. He was the one that said Pentagram. I think he's full of it. I think the sniper keeps changing his pattern to terrorize using the media (i.e. Michael's, schools, etc.)

My husband was really incensed by the piece. He said much the same thing you did.

Y'know, if it gets the media to quit gushing about this "highly trained," "skilled marksman," then I'm all for it. I'd hope that the instructor started off the reporterette's lesson with the Big 3...

  1. Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
  2. Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
  3. Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.

I've said more than once that some members of the media ought to come to Camp Perry some summer. It'll be an eye-opening experience for them, if they don't have a stroke first...

If the IRA is involved in the D.C. sniping, it's taking a very big chance. If it antagonizes Irish-Americans, how will it get its funding and political cover?

Perhaps they offered polygraph tests after all.

Poloygraphs have notable deficiencies: (1) perps can be taught to fool the machine, leading to false negatives like for Ames; (2) many false positives, because anybody who's too nervous will be a positive.

I think if you track the address to all shootings at night you will find quick small highway access to his house no more than 20 to 30 minutes away. Who travels far from home at night to commit crime knowing he has to get away fast and get to a hideout soon.

Yes. There was a lot of tonque-wagging about that locally . I think that the EBS stuff was in the WTC coupled with the fact that WTC was a major broadcast antenna for a lot of things

Shi'ite happens.

The joke is the Palestinians have no snipers because no palestinian can hit a target.

I don't know... When they have those terrorist funerals, where they all shoot into the air, I'm sure they hit something... Kind of like an "own goal," though.

Questions I have (sorry if they have been raised before) is this...

The last shooting involved the killing of the female fed (FBI cyber analyst) while she was with her husband, right? The first stories said he was "with her" by their vehicle in the parking lot. So...the question.

What did he see? What did he tell the LEOs? IF this shooter shot from only 30 yards away, wouldn't he have been in the best position to see? And is this possibly why the LEO's may be inclined not to believe the "other witness" - if the two stories don't match?

Maybe I'm confused, but the 1st reports said the woman's husband was "with her" only a few feet away. But no one has interviewed him (of course the LEOs have, but not the news media, and they are usually on a witness like a pack of jackels). No reports have been attributed to him. Yet, he clearly would have heard the shot, seen his wife fall, and immediately looked around for the shooter, right? So...what's up with this? Any comments?

I am well aware of the problems with polygraphs. You will note I said OFFERED polygraphs.

It seems to me that with the general public, offering polygraphs to 10 witnesses, one of whom declines, would make you go over that witness's comments more carefully. The idea is to see who is shaky, not to actually give them a polygraph.

So you're saying it's possible but unlikely that AQ/ME was behind 9/11? That's what a lot of Moslems say. I think you've identified yourself.

By the way, does that mean that you think the private videotape where bin Laden appears to claim responsibility for 9/11 is a forgery, or at least a probable forgery?

I heard he jumped on her to shield her from anymore bullets.

The one I'd like to hear:

I am your king! Bow before me, peasant!

This was a test of the Emergency Monarch System.

If this were a real monarchy, you would already be wretched.

I'm a lawyer, and a former intelligence officer, aware of the dangers of a polygraph. If I had offered honest testimony as a witness to the police, and they asked me to take a polygraph, I would refuse to take it, because of those dangers, even though I had been perfectly honest in what I said.

He covered his wife with his body to protect her from any more shots. You can picture his tears as this unfolded.

Heart-breaking.
