WHY SAME DAY REGISTRATION IS SO DANGEROUS

WHY SAME DAY REGISTRATION IS SO DANGEROUS

Minnesota has it. California wants it, so do Democrats across the nation. “It,” in this case, is something called “same day registration.” A person can register to vote on the actual day of the election, and then cast their vote. It’s an idea that only someone fond of the idea of mob rule (democracy) could love.

Here is one reason why same day registration should go down in flames. The Democratic Socialists of America (www.dsausa.org) have put together a little plan to help one of their favorites, Paul Wellstone, get reelected to the US Senate from Minnesota. They’re asking for donations to fund a program to bus college students (who else?) into Minnesota just for the election in three weeks. These students will register, vote for Wellstone, and head back home. Who knows? Maybe they’ll even vote again once they get back to their homes in some other state!

Democrats – the party of voter fraud. The welfare voter bill, registering illegal aliens in California, and now this ploy from their Democratic Socialist friends.

When you go to the (www.dsausa.org) you find a pop-up window which states:

Send A Student To Minnesota!

DSA’s national electoral project this year is the Minnesota Senate Election. Together with YDS, DSA’s Youth Section, we are mobilizing to bring young people to Minnesota. Minnesota is one of the few states that allow same day voter registration. We will therefore focus our energy on registering young Minnesotans. Wellstone will need a high percentage of young people to register and vote for him if he is to stave off the campaign that Bush, the Republicans and the Greens are waging against him. He is the Right’s Number One electoral target.

Because we are focusing on issue-based voter registration, this electoral work can be supported by tax-deductible contributions. The DSA FUND is soliciting tax-deductible contributions to support this project. Contributions are needed to underwrite the costs of transportation as well as providing a stipend for expenses; housing is being donated. You can contribute online with a Master Card or VISA. To contribute, simply choose from one of the amounts listed below. Click on the red dot and you will be taken to a secure server to input your credit card information. Our online order system does not allow us to let you fill in an amount, so if the choices we offer are less than what you want to contribute simply make more than one transaction until you reach the total you want to contribute.

Unbelievable!

I must not have had enough coffee yet... did I just see "Bush, the Republicans, and Greens" in the same sentence? Collectively referred to as "the Right"?

If nothing else convinces you all that Greens are your allies... :)

I posted ths to another thread, but might as well put it here as well.

Most people don't realize how easy it is to commit voter fraud in Minnesota. Not only is same-day registration possible, the only identification you need is for another registered voter to "vouch" that you are a legal voter at the polling place.

A Democrat organization like the one above could shuttle the same voters around, allowing them to vote several times at several different polling places. All they'd need is a single previously registered voter at each polling station to do the "vouching."

There have been rumors in the past that welfare advocacy groups have pulled this very trick in Saint Paul in previous elections.

And their existence, too.

"Most people don't realize how easy it is to commit voter fraud in Minnesota..."

Then why do you Minnesotians allow this sham to continue? Do I see a worthy cause here for Minnesota FReepers? Do you have a "bump list"?

On Election Day there would be press gangs of DemocRATS combing the homeless shelters, park benches and Illegal Alien work places for voters.

So what do you think? Does Norm Coleman have a chance against the "two terms only" pledge breaker Wellstone and this voter fraud escapade?

Same day? BS. People should have to pass a test to vote..... It should not be a right, but a privilege.

I think Coleman has a strong chance. The recent debates up here left Wellstone looking old and Coleman looking like someone who can pull people together.

I like his chances.

My new name for the DemoRATS are the "Democommiecrats". I think it fits them and their leftist agenda quite well.

As I've stated in another thread, we need to get at least two poll watchers, preferably more, at each district polling place. They must comply with state requirements regarding credentials, must note any "vouching" and see the ID of voucher and vouchee. Someone needs to be free to follow the bus, van, etc. to the next polling place, digital still or video camera on hand.

And they must protest any violations by our people the same as those by the RATS.

Then why do you Minnesotians allow this sham to continue?

Democrats and stealth Democrats (like Jesse Ventura) still control this state. Republicans are making gains, but we haven't arrived yet.

Also the Republican party in Minnesota is riddled with spineless empty suits who shy away from direct confrontation. I'm fairly sure most Republicans in elected office avoid this issue like those in Congress avoid talking about social security reform. They're terrified of being labeled "elitist," or "anti-democracy."

He has a very good chance. I'd say it's almost 50/50 at this point.

Remember, the Democrats have likely been pulling this sort of voter fraud for a while. Rod Grams (someone far more conservative than Coleman) was elected to the Senate in this environment. Democratic fraud can only pick up one or two percentage points at the most in a state wide election. Coleman could potentially win by a wider margin, making all the fraud irrelevant to the outcome.

"...we need to get at least two poll watchers..."

Best answer I have heard yet to the situation. Any chance you can get the poll watchers in place? I used to work as a poll watcher back in NC elections and I know what an impact you can make.
