What I don't get, if they are jihadists (which seems likely if there are more than one of them in the van), is why don't they move around the country more, to find places where there is less surveillance?

And on that note, why haven't more traffic cams been put up around DC? Even if the cams aren't everywhere and close to a shooting, a statistical analysis after several shootings would probably catch these guys. (Of course, they could be rotating phony plates.)

He said the driver appeared very agitated to find his way blocked and instead drove by a neighboring Chinese restaurant and out of sight.

Plan of shopping center on page A6 of today's Washington Post shows a Fortune Chinese Restaurant right next to the two-tiered parking area in which the shooting occurred. The restaurant is on Rte. 50 (Arlington Blvd.). So apparently this means the driver went off on Rte. 50. I wonder if we can tell in which direction.

Is it Al Qaida or Al Qaeda? I've seen it both ways.

U.S. Government spells the organization "Al Qaeda", and the leader "Usama Bin Laden".

Arabic words can be spelled a number of ways, with no standard "right" way for most. For example, there are over 50 ways to spell Muammar Khaddafi, and he's refused to state his favorite. It's actually a problem in that our list of terrorist names sometimes misses a person due to changing names.

Not only does the Old Dominion have the death penalty, we carry it out. Let's see how Warner handles this once the perp is caught. Not being an Attorney - I hope we get him here. Any thoughts on this out there? He/they has/have murdered in three juristictions - what is the precendence? Where caught first? How many murdered? Thanks in advance for an answer on this question.

Maryland has a moratorium on the Death Penalty, thanks to KKT, but they hardly ever use it anyway.
Virginia has it, and uses it.
