I hate it when the international community has to learn it for themselves, that President Bush was right all along. I hate it because the Israelis, Philippinos, French, Australians and Indonesians had to find out the hard way.

Not sure why you're lumping the Israelis in there. They've been dealing with terrorism up close and personal for a long time now. They're some of our staunchest allies in this war on terror, and their administration fully supports President Bush.

I'm going to call my nephew, I think, in a little bit, he and his wife ought to be up to speed on the situation.

Whose wimping out?I dont know how you draw that conclusion.Australia has been fighting militant muslims since East Timor and will continue to do so whether America does or not.We will also be in Iraq if you are, whether the incident in Bali had or hadnt occured.

Its like me saying Americans are wimping out of Iraq because of the anti-war protests there.Judge a nation by its actions not by stupid protestors.

We did not need this wake up call, because we were already aware of the threat and fully supported America before this happened. We were aware of the threat before Sept 11 when we were fighting the militia in East Timor.

Anyway,i've spent too much time today defending my country against supposed 'allies'.

Every country has its bloody-minded idiots.

I've been to Australia twice. It is very much like the USA, except the service and the food are much better. The people are strong and direct and I have no doubt the majority saw the threat clearly before Oct 12 and even more understand it now.

Those I know who have fought besides them rate the Aussies as some of the best military on the planet. We Yanks are proud to have allies like you.

Those making moronic comments about gun confiscation need to spend some time in Queensland.

My deepest sympathy and the strength of my anger to you all. God bless and let's roll.

You need'nt defend your Country to Americans. We are with you......but every Country has it's @ssholes and they seem to speak the loudest. Listen to the quieter voices......we know your pain and we know our allies and we are praying for your Country in it's time of need.

If you know of how we can let the average Aussie know we care please let us know.

I'm assuming that your reference to "scumbags" refers to the Left in Australia, and not the population as a whole, since the Aussies have usually been among our strongest supporters, in Viet Nam and elsewhere.

We haven't forgotten Gallipoli or Vietnam and we won't forget the 200 20 and 30-somethings (and some children!) who were burned to death by these dirty cowards while their leaders gloat in some pigsty of a cave and praise the devil for their success. Let's hope the next daisy cutter falls on "Doctor" Zawahiri and his cohorts.

"In truth, the country seems equally divided on Australia's international political stance, although there are many who believe that the country is suffering the consequences of its high profile in the confrontation with Iraq.

Bruce Haig, a former Australian diplomat, said that the Prime Minister had been too vocal in his support of U.S. threats to attack Iraq and was now paying the price.

"Our Prime Minister should adopt a much lower profile," he said."

Mr. Haig needs to understand that this has nothing to do with the US and everything to do with the fact that these fanatics hate freedom.

If his anti-American "foreign policy" view were true then why has a French oil-tanker also been targeted? The terrorists are choosing the path of least resistance, where they can commit their crimes killing a maximum amount of westerners, making big headlines and where they have the least chance of getting caught.

Low security areas where westerners frequent. Nothing to do with the US "foreign policy" or a prevalent "blame it on the Jews" mentality that seems to be gaining steam.

I pray for the Autralian families.

I also pray that the Liberal Canadian Government takes its head out of the sand and begins to pull its weight millitarily, and homeland security wise, before Canada is Al Queda's next target.

"Anyway,i've spent too much time today defending my country against supposed 'allies'" No need to defend Australia here. Some people fly off the handle when the U.S. press plays up what some foreign lefty says about America. The press likes to play the part of the guy at the bar who for grins pokes the guy on his right and says "did you hear what that guy (pointing left) said about you," tells him an insult, then pokes the guy to his left and repeats the process. Then he steps back and watches the fight.

Americans haven't forgotten our good Aussie friends.

After the prayers are said and mourning is over, I would recommend to any American a very pleasant evening can be had by pouring a glass of Fosters or Rosemount Cabernet/Shiraz, as you like, and popping "The Dish" into the VCR.

Most Australians dont blame America for any of our woes.If any Aussies do,its the usual suspects(leftists or arab immigrants).Australia helps out and backs up America on almost everything....from the days of Vietnam to Iraq.

Very true. Right now, Australia is one of the very few countries that unconditionally supports us re: Iraq and whose troops will be on the ground there, along with ours and Britain's.

Yes, I believe part of the reason for this brutal attack is Australia's support for us, but that's all the more reason to wipe these animals off the face of the earth.

Well now, if more incidents like this is what they need to get the picture, unfortunately they will have more incidents.

They, some of us, really don't get it. It is us or them. They intend to obliterate western culture, the big satan along with the little Satan. Keeping a low profile, ignoring them and the threat in hopes of appeasement, will only move these cowering peace not war liberals closer to being part of the Islamic world, like it or not! Do they really want to live in fear that terrorists are going to "hurt" them for the rest of thier lives, or do they want the intimidation and black mail to stop? I, for one, want it to stop, whatever it takes. We have future generations out there who will pay the greater price if we don't stop Islamic terrorism and all other terrorism in our generation.

You're right. What I was trying to do was illustrate that islamic terrorism is widespread internationally, and not just an American issue.

Two hundred and twenty Aussies -- and hundreds more unimaginably horrendously maimed in this abjectly-cowardly and appallingly barbaric islamafascistic atrocity is the equivilent, for what that is worth, of about 7,500 American casualties.

And make no bones about the fact that Australia always has been and will always be the foreign Nation most supportive of the U.S.

America's First and Best Ally!

Beyond compare!

And, with America and Israel and New Zealand, [If the Kiwis will only rid themselves of their execrable femunist, wikkan, gummint] these evil islamanazi bastards very very very worst nightmare.
