Who is doing these random 'snipings' in and around our nation's capital?
The media is of course focusing on a 'Son of Sam' type solo, deranged nutball. And maybe they are right. FBI profilers have become frequent TV Talking Heads opining on who this shooter is.
Yet lost in the clutter is the report that "two men" were seen driving away from the latest gas station murder in Manassas, Va. Two men changes this crime – radically.
Two men means a conspiracy – and it also means planning, talking, debating and some sort of direction and chain of command.
Now, let us consider something: Is it mere coincidence that, just as D.C. is approving a massive war on Iraq, D.C. and its surrounding bedroom communities are terrorized by murderous snipings?
If these murders were happening in Boise or Seattle or Chicago, we could easily ascribe them to some domestic nutcase. But this is a systematic campaign to go to the heart of our nation's capital – and almost exactly one year after the anthrax mailings also sent D.C. into a lockdown.
If you look at a map of the Washington, D.C., area, these murders are taking place both in the city itself and also in a systematic pattern around the beltway. The killings are almost completing a circle around D.C. – where most people live.
Just as the FBI immediately 'steered' its anthrax investigation to a 'domestic mailer,' so, too, has law enforcement focused on a deranged psychopath like David Berkowitz. We hear virtually nothing from the federal officials about a Mideast connection here.
A year later and the feds haven't caught the anthrax mailer.
Three years after the arrival of West Nile virus in New York – right across the East River from the U.N., where sanctions were approved that crippled Saddam's income – we still have no clue how it got here. Yet officials are wary about accusing Saddam and his battery of evil scientists.
This author was first out of the gate claiming that it was "no coincidence' that West Nile virus was here. I continue to believe Saddam was and is trying to hurt us in any way he can – without leaving a return address.
The ongoing D.C. killings may very well be yet another terror tactic – from Baghdad – aimed at inflicting pain on a people who are voting for regime change in Baghdad.

This analysis demonstrates that the SHOOTER(S) may be hiding in Islamic Prayer Mosques. In the first few days, they left the mosque, but on some days may have returned and rehid therein.

In tracing the path of the sniper on Oct 3, his first victim was almost at the intersection of Loop 495 and Hwy 185. His second victim is north of where Hwy 185 meets 97, the sniper takes 97 to north Wheaton, kills victim #2, then he went north on 97 above Apsen Hill and shot victim # 3. Then for some reason he doubles back on 97, exits down Hwy 185, very risky given the police were at the scene of victim # 2, and takes his 4th victim, the old man standing on the corner in Washington D.C.
Only blocks away from victim #4 is Dar-Adh-Dhirk Masjid at 4323 Rosedale Av, Bethesda, Md., right off 185.

Osama bin Laden is alive and will appear on a videotape soon, a man claiming to be a senior al-Qaida member says.
Abdel Rahman al-Rashed told London-based magazine Al Majalla that bin Laden is in good health and has been putting on weight.
He also revealed that al-Qaida has set up a media department to "address the Muslim people".
Al-Rashed said: "Sheikh Osama is alive and in good health. He has gained more weight due to security precautions and his inability to move a lot as you will notice in his next appearance."
Earlier this month, TV station al-Jazeera aired an audio tape in which a voice attributed to bin Laden warned that the "youths of God" are planning more attacks against the US.
Al-Rashed says al-Qaida has set aside a budget to pay for its media department.
He said: "Sheikh Osama pays heed to the media... we have a specialised department for print, audio and video production and a team of Internet experts."
In the interview, al-Rashed also denied US claims that al-Qaida has relations with the Iraqi regime.
US President George W Bush has said al Qaida has had high-level contacts with Baghdad for a decade and sent operatives to Iraq to learn to make bombs and use poison weapons.
Mr Bush also said some al-Qaida leaders had fled to Iraq after their haven in Afghanistan was attacked by the US in retaliation for September 11.

Captured video reveals plans for home break-ins, killing police, drive-bys, golf course assassinations

An al-Qaida training videotape, captured in Afghanistan, shows Osama bin Laden's terrorists are not only planning attacks with weapons of mass destruction but are preparing to kill Americans with drive-by shootings and home break-ins, through ambushes of law-enforcement officers and targeted assassinations on golf courses, WorldNetDaily has learned.
The videotape was produced, U.S. analysts believe, for al-Qaida's internal use and did not appear to be an external propaganda device.
U.S. intelligence considers the tape much more significant in what it reveals about al-Qaida's modus operandi than the highly publicized video purchased and broadcast last month by CNN. U.S. forces found a cache of 64 al-Qaida tapes while combing caves and hideouts in Afghanistan. Analysts were surprised by some of what they saw in the latest video and believe they employ terrorist tactics and techniques meant for export to America and other nations.
"None of these training scenarios depicts the type of fighting that al-Qaida engages in within Afghanistan," noted John Holschen of Insights Training Center, who produced a report on the tape for military and law enforcement officials.
The training video shows al-Qaida operatives practicing the following kinds of assaults:
Analysts point out that all scenarios involving prisoners and hostages ended in execution. None included plans for negotiated settlements for escape by terrorists.
"They plan to kill the prisoners and die in place," wrote Holschen.
The "perfect day" as seen by al-Qaida would combine attacks designed to produce a maximum number of casualties with attacks that would give them the opportunity to get "face time" on the news channels to deliver their rhetoric, explained Holschen.
"The major take-home lesson here is that although the enemy is known to be seeking the ability and opportunity to use weapons of mass destruction and of an unconventional nature, such as hijacked airliners, they are also spending a lot of time training to carry out attacks the old-fashioned way – attacks executed by small groups of dedicated personnel equipped with little more than small arms," explained Holschen.
Hostages, prisoners and anyone else identified as a target or problem by al-Qaida terrorist operatives will be killed, say those who viewed the tape. There is no point in complying with orders, they say. Those who do not resist ultimately will be rewarded with ritual execution in front of television cameras, according to the tactics and techniques captured on this video.
In one scenario on the video, terrorists pretend to be stranded on a six-lane highway, their vehicle disabled. When a police officer stops to assist, the driver blows his horn. Another occupant of the vehicle opens fire on the police officer with a rifle. In other scenarios, shooters were concealed in the trunk of the car. When the terrorists were picked up by accomplices in a getaway car, the original vehicle was blown up, apparently to destroy evidence.
In another scenario, an innocuous-looking terrorist knocks on the door of a residence, standing in view of the resident and answering questions through a closed door. When the resident opens the door, the terrorist immediately draws his weapon and fires, emptying his weapon into the victim.
In the golf course assassination, the target was on the green, near the hole. A rocket-propelled grenade is fired at a vehicle adjacent to the green, perhaps a security detail. Then the target of the assassination is killed with rifle fire.
When asked if these techniques are intended for use in the U.S., one military intelligence operative said without hesitation, "Yes."

Two New Terror Warnings Issued

WASHINGTON — The FBI quietly warned its agents nationwide of unconfirmed information from a captured senior Al Qaeda official that terrorists may be planning attacks against supermarkets or shopping centers, law enforcement officials said Wednesday.
The warning, sent Tuesday to all FBI field offices and relayed to some state and local police, cautioned that the information was unsubstantiated and did not include specific information about possible targets, timing, numbers of people involved or any particular method of attack.
The warning said that Al Qaeda operatives inside the United States may be planning attacks against civilian targets, possibly including banks, shopping centers, supermarkets and shops, law enforcement officials said. The information came from Abu Zubaydah, the highest-ranking Al Qaeda terrorist leader in U.S. custody, they said.
The information that prompted the new warning was considered less reliable than last week's about possible attacks on banks in the northeastern United States.
"We're trying to downplay this," said one law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The latest alert, like last week's, did not change the nation's threat status, which remained at "yellow," using the new system of color codes. Yellow represents the midrange. To qualify for the next-highest orange alert, a threat must include a specific time and date and be corroborated and credible.
Unlike last week, the latest warning was issued only to FBI field offices, which quietly relayed the information to local joint-terrorism task forces typically made up of state and local police agencies.
"There is no official alert," a law enforcement official said.
A spokeswoman for Taubman Centers of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., which operates 29 malls in 13 states, said the company did not plan to step up security or make any other changes.
"Nothing has changed since Sept. 11," spokeswoman Karen McDonald said. "We continue to be on a heightened level of alert." She noted that the centers still restrict access in such sensitive areas as loading docks and delivery areas.
Also Wednesday, the State Department alerted Americans abroad that terrorists may be preparing to strike, especially in the Persian Gulf and Arabian Peninsula.
"There is growing concern," the department said in a statement. It cautioned Americans to be careful and said "softer targets" may be selected by terrorists because security at U.S. installations has been strengthened.
Last week, authorities cautioned that they had no information about a specific plot or threats to any specific financial institution. But the FBI warned publicly about possible "physical attacks," based in part on information from Zubaydah, two officials said. But it was unclear if he was telling the truth, and officials said he could be lying in an effort to create a panic.
Abu Zubaydah is alleged to have been one of Usama bin Laden's top planners of terrorist operations, with knowledge of Al Qaeda plots and operational cells. He was captured in Pakistan on March 28 and is recovering from three gunshot wounds he received in the raid.
There have been no reports of any bank closings in response to last week's alert, which remains in effect.
This is odd,usually if witnesses have ANY info. on a suspect it is reported if not leaked to the media. So far every stinking thing has been 'reported.'
