Toni Greene told jurors yesterday that she was just being a nosey mother when she
went through the jacket pockets of a young man her teenage daughter had met at
the mall days earlier.

That's why there are moms...because G-d can't be eveywhere at once.

I hadn't heard this wrinkle of this saga. Good for this lady.
As far as I'm concerned, she should say a few Hail Mary's, leave a few bob in the plate,
and just don't be nosy again.
Unless her intuition tells her otherwise!

I agree with almost all you say. When it comes to your kids, I believe in being nosey, if you have the slightest inclination that you need to be. It's not that you don't trust them. It's that sometimes you need to protect them from themselves. It's a dirty job, but someone needs to do it. Your kids may hate you for a while. In time they'll understand. You shouldn't make it obvious, but you should do whatever it takes.

Good for this lady? Are you kidding me? She lets her daughter bring home some gang banger from the mall and lets him sleep on her couch-- Just out of curiousity, how long was he there that he became so tired? She proved herself to be good citizen but a piss-poor mother. When her daughter turns up pregnant by this soon-to-be-executed homicidal maniac, are we all going to sit around again and sigh, "What a great Mom!" This is crazy. The woman is a bad mother for letting her daughter tramp around like that, even if she did bring to justice a murderous felon.
