CNN Headline News is reporting that a woman has been shot near a Home Depot in Falls Church, VA, and that authorities are investigating whether this is another sniper attack.

Anyone who would rather be shot by a .223 than a 45ACP is an idiot. .223 has far more energy and if using expanding bullet, will literally explode in its target.

Even FMJ bullet will yaw severly, about 180 degrees all told, depending on the thickness of the target along the path, and break into two major pieces, plus smaller fragments. If he/they had been using disintegrating bullets, there'd be no ballistic matches.

I had seen diagrams of the insides of barrels and was surprised to see the design. But forgive my terminology..I thought the inside of the barrel looked like a big spiral. Neways..I was obviously incorrect in it's purpose. Thank you for splaining.

Just because they aren't saying what direction the vehicle was traveling in doesn't mean they don't know. There's a lot they aren't telling us about.

Well if they would of had a direction of travel, there is a good chance they could have cut off and cornered the perp. If this was the case, we would be witnessing a live shoot out or a massive standoff by now.....Don't you think?

That part you have correct - it does look like a spiral. But it causes the round to spin, not tumble.

No, other victims have been with someone. As someone remarked already, the child was with his aunt. And the man at the gas station last week was with his wife, who was in the car while he was pumping gas. I think that was the Manassas shooting.
