CNN Headline News is reporting that a woman has been shot near a Home Depot in Falls Church, VA, and that authorities are investigating whether this is another sniper attack.

Earlier this month, TV station al-Jazeera aired an audio tape in which a voice attributed to bin Laden warned that the "youths of God" are planning more attacks against the US.

Bin Laden doesn't use the term "God". He says "Allah". If the interpreter said "God", it was an erroneous interpretation.

Witnesses have given discriptions of man, clothing, make & model of van.

IF SO, it might be a good idea to share with the public.

Maybe you should consider two or more video game freaks who are having a competition. I have heard the Columbine type kids theories....the only thing is if high-school kids, it would be hard IMHO to be out from school for so long, and be able to rent a van, etc., and not be noticed by parents, classmates, teachers, etc. BTW, you can't rent a car or van if under age 25 in most jurisdictions. I think you need a truck to shoot from in these deals...I find it hard to believe that someone can exit a vehicle with a rifle, set up, and then get back in a vehicle without anyone noticing. I think the guy is shooting from inside a truck, with a back opening.

Heard on WABC radio news that police are looking for a man with OLIVE SKIN, wearing denim clothing, in connection with this latest shooting near the Home Depot in Falls Church.

I have spent lots of time pulling targets "down in the butts". Silencer or no, a .223 or any other centerfire round has quite a "flight crack" from the sonic shockwave. I doubt if these sniper teams are using a silencer, but there is little evidence either way. If you were standing where the bullet went by you you'd hear quite a bang. We are required to wear hearing protection when downrange in the butts.

At highpower competitions, for those of you not familiar, the scoring is done by people downrange, in a trench (butt) under the targets. When a shot is fired the target is pulled down, scored, and sent back up with a marker where the hole is big enough to see in a scope from 600 yards, and a score mark on the side. The bullets fly a few feet over the scorer's heads. They make lots of noise.

Just heard that there are witnesses & they have a description of the man, blue shirt & pants in Dodge beige or while van traveling east on Rte 50; police in pursuit.

They said this parking garage is well lit. They did not expound on the witness', but they have some that they are questioning.

The nighttime shootings were all done in well lit areas.

Every major highway, and the belt way are in a dragnet right now!!
