Maybe even a mosque.

Which is why I wholeheartedly embrace the concept of the right for private citizens to carry mortars for self-defense... LOL

Thank you for that.
That's the most beautiful thing I've read in a long time...

Fox reporting that now people on the roads are running out of gas, after idling in traffic for 3 hours, complicating things even more. Pity nobody thought of advising them to turn their engines off. Can people go along the roads with jerry cans with gasoline?

This part of the county is closer to DC and developed long ago. Streets using the word "Way" are fairly recent. I don't know where that particular street is, but my guess it's further west or south in a newer subdivision. Try Mapquest.

Maybe even a mosque.I understand there is a mosque in walking distance from the shopping center...

And he says some people have been trapped on the road long enough to run out of gas causing more problems. I bet those folks are really thrilled at the prospect of having to go to a gas station tonite.

Fox reporting that now people on the roads are running out of gas, after idling in traffic for 3 hours Happens every time we get an inch of snow around here ...

Somewhere out there someone has to at the very least be suspicious. There have been buckets of suspicious people, especially this afternoon.

We are going to learn to live our lives here much the way that people in Israel have lived throughout that country's existence. And we will learn normalcy with internal watchfulness and defense, and we will learn the need for
swift offensive action against those who train and fund and house our enemies.
But unlike Israel, we have the power and ability to utterly defeat it everywhere it lives. If we have the right leadership for long enough, we'll get there.

Why? Because there's an Eckert's on every corner. Sounds like Waffle House in this neck of the woods.

This is the second time I have gone past a shooting site ... can't complain about your timing then, can ya ?
not to be flip - i graduated from FCHS (long time ago), and used to cruise the whole area for fun,
but i'd have thought, even given the holiday, it might've been a stretch for that caller to have been next to the shooter.
then again, i never did catch the elapsed time, as this has been the fastest thread i've seen here since 911 ...

Exactly. Michael: "who is God?". Sniper: "I am God." They make more sense together than standing alone.

No Far East Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Viet Namese, Korean) yet, either.

Let's say the victim's husband was carrying a handgun -- what would he have done with it? There was no perp to shoot at. A handgun is worthless against a sniper attack like this. No, guess I wasn't clear. I was talking about what we as citizens can do, which is what we had in the past, citizen soldiers, who would be organized and on duty, not people taking the law into their own hands and shooting willy-nilly.
I just think as a people we should be doing more to defend our country, especially if we start to have more attacks on this order (assuming this isn't a home-grown nut).
I had any number of ancestors in the civil war who were part of state militias.

All your points IMO can be answered with two words: Terror Cell

see if your local library has a '50s or '60s book the title is "classic rifleman" or something like that i believe by P.O. Ackley it does a good job explaining this stuff - actually any book by Ackley is good

As I said before, each of these deaths by themselves affect so many (family and friends). All of these deaths are affecting our nation.
My prayers too are with this woman's husband and family.
Praying God will allow this shooter to be caught tonight.
