Tiny Tommy has already put the pubbies on notice that, if Talent wins, they will obstruct the takeover process so the Dims retain their committee chairs at least until January.

I think the Governor of MO has promised to gum up the certification process to protect the 'Craps in the Senate.

The sad part is that for a gun grabber, this is mild compared to Fox Butterfield and especially that piece of crap Nicholas Kristof. Let Dasshole take his best shot. After the orderly transfer of power when Jumpin' Jim the traitor moved on over, anything less from the Dems will seem highly partisan.

Add to that the fact that Chaffee has promised to "pull a Jeffords", the likelihood of a court challenge for any important election result the Dems don't like, and the spinelessness of the GOP leadership (especially Trent not-a-Lott), and you'll see that getting Justice(s) will not be a slam-dunk no matter how the November elections finish (or IF they'll even finish in November!!!).

All this is a moot question if the Congress has adjourned the 107th as scheduled. They often miss their date of adjournment but they are scheduled for Oct. 27, 2002.

Someone here on FR mentioned that the Chief Justice of Missouri is none other than David Limbaugh. While the lower courts may be able to obstruct, I doubt they will get away with any NJ type shenanagans.

And Tommy will again prove that he is a tougher fighher than Trent. Heck, one hardly has to raise a fist to be a tougher fighter than Trent.

Well, THIS time I hope Trent Lott plays hard ball.
