That is just a quick disclaimer, it may not be exactly what you are looking for, but it gives you an idea of what you may be against.

I can't help but think there should be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY more coverage of Bali right now. But then that might mean we'd connect the global Islamonazi dots, right?

All I have heard abou the description of the bullet was that it was a .233 that the military uses.
Even if the bullets were completely destroyed they could still check the metallurgical contents.
The report the weapon could only be a Mini-14 or a Ar-15 was nonsense. The marks on the case would have shown it was either one of those firearms or the other. The ejector on the Ar is opposite the extracter and the ejector on the Mini is at the six o'clock position.

In the gas station shooting where the state trooper was across the street

As I understand it he was across the street AND a half block away. That might explain his reaction.

TC: I don't think he's in uniform at all and I don't think the white truck has anything to do with it.

He's 25-30, dresses like a college student which gives him a wide range of clothing compatible with his mission...and has a back pack. He may even be living in a dorm...goes back at anytime and no one cares.

Look for a guy who looks like the scenery.

"He uses the company truck while out on the road..then easily escapes back to his job"

Exactly. No weekend shootings, a good time for everyone to "gas up", in my opinion.

But supposes he changes and decides not to use the company van any longer? It's all over the news now, what the cops are looking for.

So he will switch vehicles and this time, be sure no one is around to identify his car, which probably is distinguishable from the majority of the cars on the road.

He may even break the pattern, because has to break the pattern or he will get caught.

Thanks for posting these photos. My linking skills are sadly lacking, as my feeble attempt at linking the prayer thread all too clearly shows.

Peach, in the body of any ARTICLE you need to include the ahref tags for ANY hyperlink even for ones sourced from freerepublic.com...in any COMMENT you don't need the ahref tags if the link you're posting is sourced on FreeRepublic.

Happy Sunday :)

You misunderstand me. I'm talking of a bigger picture and how the media portrays(or downplays) these incidents. I'm not talking at all about discussion on FR.

And for your information, I moved from the area in 2001, and several of the Mont CO shooting locations are places I'd walked, shopped, or worked. The man shot in DC was not far from where I lived in Silver Spring, but VERY close to where my grandparents, aunt and cousin live.

The snipings would stop overnight if openly armed citizen patrols were set up roving in the vicinity of every copse of woods, every interstate and freeway exit, every school and commercial district. I mean pistol in holsters, carbines and short rifles in hand, long guns over shoulder.

From what I've seen of the crime scenes the terrain looks pretty flat....has anyone heard from the news conferences or media what the trajectory of the bullets have been....it would seem that in some of the shootings the shooter would have to be at an elevated site to get a clear view...?

why didnt the trooper head for the hillside by the motel where the shot was fired?

At that instant, he had no idea where the sniper was, or if he was still in the area. It shows a lot of courage to run to the sniper's field of fire.

The other eyewitnesses (ear witnesses) could clearly discern the direction the shot was fired from. I agree the cop has a lot of courage also. As for still being in the area, unless the shooter can vaporize him(them)self in an instant, you better believe he was still there.

oh..i did misunderstand you....In general, the American media tends to be narcissistic in focusing more on the USA, as opposed to what's happening in the rest of this big ole world...

We wouldn't want average joe 6 pack to open his eyes farther than the current football game, what video he's gunna rent, or what he will stuff in his face now, would we?

Beau's theory is: the 4 murders a week-ago Thursday were done in such a compact time (about 2 hours span), he figures it has to be two people working together with the same rifle. He figures a couple of "loser" young males (early 20's?) who are egging each other on, and perhaps devotees (sp?) of "sniper video games" (he referred to one his son "plays" that, at the end of the game, declares "I am God!").

I agree. It's been my theory since the morning of the shooting of the school boy. Why? Because older teens or very young adults wouldn't see the kid as a "kid" but as a "peer".

I also think they're 2 brothers, at least one of them was/is on Ritalin and they're both bored with violent video games. They have little or no parental supervision and have been using the van without the knowledge of the owner (presumably father). Could be a van not being used anymore. They'd have access to their father's older van location and keys. If the van was one of the leads, it was cleared because the father/owner/employees had the perfect alibi for the time of the shootings since they ARE innocent.

It seems obvious to me that this van won't be used anymore now that there's a precise description of the van. The big question is: what happens next? If I'm right, then the truck owner is bound to figure it out. Are they going to run away? shoot their parents?

One other point. If they were AQ terrorists, they missed their chance last Friday at a spectacular death and a triple ration of virgins. They could have taken down with them dozens of LEO and innocent people. These killers aren't ready to meet their maker. But they won't be taken alive either.

About the 36 year old man looking like one of the killers: I think it's a red herring.

If the truck is used again tomorrow, you can trash this wild theory.

Disclaimer: this is pure speculation since my crystal ball is not always reliable... :o(

It's a laugh in th beltway area now, I know, but it is for that reason it has gone on longer than five days. In other "less sophisticated" places people would be doing just that -- armed citizen patrols, and the sniper would have moved on, been caught, or stopped.
