All they see is a white van leaving. Even if the decoy got pulled over, chances are that that one wouldn't have a weapon in the van. Clean van.

Good routine, but this is a game, a real, live paintball game, and they won't be using their real names.

What you want to select for and sort on is the absence of 1.) phone calls 2.) movies 3.) room service 4.) wake-up/alarm calls 5.) sloughed skin cells on bedsheets.

What you do want to look for is hair samples and minute blood samples from used nose-blowing tissue.

"This sniper seems to listen to the news. People blab at press conferences about schools being safe, he shoots a child at school. They talk about malls, he responds."

We can only hope and pray that the media doesn't start talking about how safe Demoncat congress-critters are and they are impossible to attack...

Sounds like it could be well planned out. I don't know. I just keep feeling it's an ELF thing. No respect for human life at all. Pro-death. Kill Mother nature, they'll kill the killers. I hate it when I can't figure something out. I just keep digging for info, but there isn't much to work with here. Just brainstorms, but they help.
Getting late here. EST. Hope the brains keep thinking. If anyone who matters reads this site, something may come up that they haven't thought of.
Keep up the good work. Freepers are the best.

nah, if it's an Al-qaida terrorist cell, they wouldn't want to shoot their strongest ally. I'm more concerned for the President's safety. I sure hope the Secret Service have Pennsylvania Avenue checked, double checked, covered, double covered, and surveillanced.

A hotel balcony....

There was a black truck driver on Fox News this morning who was staying at a hotel near the shooting... he heard a loud BOOM... said it came from an elevated area of the hotel... he mentioned a balcony. Next thing he knew, cops were swarming & then he found out somebody had been shot. I haven't heard another thing about this truck driver. Another story buried, I guess.

what good are the body fluids?

Isn't the objective to catch the group doing this?

Or are you going in a different direction with your thinking?

This show is affectionately known to local gun rights activists as The Gun Show That Wouldn't Die. A couple of years ago a group of limosine liberal 3Ms from down county held a demonstration at the show and got the county council in a tizzy about taking away the promoter's right to sell a legal product. They tried. They also tried to take county money away from the Fairgrounds owners for honoring their contract with the promoter (Frank Krasner, Silverado Gun Shows). They're still trying.

I've worked at the show in years past, and approximately 5k people attend over the course of the weekend. It's a big show, and I always bought more ammo than I could carry in one load. The ammo man from NJ has the best prices, in case anyone is interested; but I haven't been to the shows recently, so I'm not sure if he still comes down and sells here.

I figured he had to be elevated because they reported that he probably fired over the head of the cop.

Most of the Waterfowl hunting is over on the Eastern Shore...and that has probably been the type of hunting in the steepest decline in terms of number of people participating.

Maybe he's a PETA nut showing humans what it's like to be hunted.

I had the same thought today.

Maybe two PETA nuts.

I can't remember who, said, "If the sniper has a 'comfort zone', connecting the points on the map from Aspen Hill, Bowie, Fredicksburg and Manassas creates a rectangle with Woodbridge/Dale City nearly in the center, which is also between Fort Belvior and Quantico."

I think this is entirely possible.

You won't believe this thread

It's really, really, really, really, really hard for people to accurately sense the direction of gunshots.

Earlier it was posted that a spiral was forming and the spiral was widening. I had that slight impression the other day. I couldn't find the graphics thread today to get another look. I forget who posted about the spiral.

Heh. And didja know that if you type "WTC" using Webdings, you'll get a picture of an airplane, two towers and a skull and crossbones? People can find any kind of pattern in anything and bend it to fit whatever theory they want. I reckon psychics are as good at this as any other glory-seeking crackpot. (Preaching to the choir, much?)

But I don't believe that all "geographical profiling" tactics are amiss or foolish. There HAS to be some sort of pattern, even unwitting on the part of the shooter, if it's nothing else but how far the guy can get on a tank of gas and then get back home. There are patterns, and then there are contrived BS patterns. I think maybe the Keep it Simple, Stupid principle is more applicable here than some mystical (or should that be "mystikal") mumbo jumbo. Still, though, I've bookmarked the psychic thread just for laughs. Lord knows after days of obsessing on the sniper thing, some levity is called for to offset the fear and horror.
