Hmmmmmm. How long has it been public knowledge? Do you know?
This show is affectionately known to local gun rights activists as The Gun Show That Wouldn't Die. A couple of years ago a group of limosine liberal 3Ms from down county held a demonstration at the show and got the county council in a tizzy about taking away the promoter's right to sell a legal product. They tried. They also tried to take county money away from the Fairgrounds owners for honoring their contract with the promoter (Frank Krasner, Silverado Gun Shows). They're still trying.
I've worked at the show in years past, and approximately 5k people attend over the course of the weekend. It's a big show, and I always bought more ammo than I could carry in one load. The ammo man from NJ has the best prices, in case anyone is interested; but I haven't been to the shows recently, so I'm not sure if he still comes down and sells here.
