Actulaly I thought the 15 year old was shot at twice? That was why they weren't sure if it was the same person/people.

True, but this won't be the first time the media had the details wrong with respect to 'shots' fired in this series of killings.

I believe that term "shots fired" can be misleading. It's a term that is used once one shot goes off. There may or may not have been more than one.
