You must be thinking of another sniper. The 15 year old was actually 13, and only one shot was fired. He is still in critical condition, but he is alive.

no, originally they reported that possibility because he was said to have chest and abdominal wounds, but one bullet damaged his lungs, spleen, liver...

I believe that term "shots fired" can be misleading. It's a term that is used once one shot goes off. There may or may not have been more than one.

It's on FOX now. apparently noone shot, no med units on scene. A generic call that said someone heard shots. Police on scene.

Or am I the one thinking of another sniper? He was 13, wasn't he?

Many times the sound of the one shot bounces off of diferent buildings leading people to believe multiple shots were fired.

Why is FOX always late on breaking news? As much as I hate CNN, I must admit for breaking news, they are always head of the game.

Somebody please put a stop to this.
If this is the sniper, he's not going to stop. If he stopped, they might never catch him. But I don't think he's going to stop - he's a sick puppy.
Why not call out the National Guard?

I wonder if this school is located in a rural area? Dove season is open here, and I've been hearing shots since noon.

I'm waiting for him to expand and start taking out multiples.
I'm waiting to find out if it's a him (most likely)...or maybe a team
that is simply sharing a single rifle around.
This way, if one (or a couple) of them is caught, the rest can just disappear
or take up the terror banner with a new .223 rifle.
Just spouting...after all the theorizing over the anthrax source last year...
I can't help myself...

I agree. Fox has gotten very slow with their breaking news stories. They never interrupt their regular programing and I end up having to watch CNN and MSNBC for info.

As much as I hate CNN, I must admit for breaking news, they are always head of the game.Maybe they get advance notice?

......The 15 year old was actually 13.....
That was what I thought but I have heard 15 on some reports. I may have heard that wrong though too. Thanks for clearing up.

CNN doesn't verify the news...they go with rumors. Bad policy.
