NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.

No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.

Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

The closest these shootings have gotten to downtown D.C. is the shooting on Georgia Ave. just off the MD border, miles away. I have a feeling these guys regard downtown D.C. as an unhealthy spot to extend their shooting to.

When talking to my sister last night she said a theory going around there was this guy is shooting at places beginning with M or S (Michaels, Mobil, Shell, Sunoco, school). Who knows? Today blows that theory though.

We have them in Oregon. It is a no self-pump state. I literally do not know how to pump gas, although I assume its not too hard, I have never done it in my life.

Just thought about how the message was written on the card, it sounds like someone foreign. Who writes like "Dear MR. Policeman?" no one I know of thinks the police are all men number one and, other countries sometimes have trouble conveying plural.

Maybe, the gas stations (so far all major companies) have a link to our use of "their oil". Always trying to come up with ideas to help stop this.

I think that show claimed that Ted Khsdfugrjky (however you spell his name)was out East when the Zodiac killer was active. Don't remember the details, though. I remember the Son of Sam, when I was a little kid. I was scared, too, and thought he was roaming around New Mexico, where I was.

There are two "traffic lights from hell" on Route 1. One is at Route 1 and 17 in Falmouth, the other is at Courthouse Road and Route 1 in Stafford (there are two Courthouse Roads that intersect Route 1, one is in Stafford and one in Spotsylvania).

When I say traffic light from hell, I'm talking about the kind that give a green light to only one of the 4 directions at a time, mainly because they were too cheap to put a left turn lane in or didn't have room for one. You can sometimes sit for several cycles of the light before you finally get through.
