I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

Plural? I still can't believe more than ONE person is involved in this SICK crime (unless it's a terrorist cell)
I lways think sick crimes become even sicker when more than one person are working together to commit them. I can see criminals working together to rob a bank, but I can never believe it when serial or spree killers work together. Sick, indeed.

I can't figure out why on earth they haven't been yet -- since were in the middle of a war on terror and all Because they don't think it is a terrorist. They probably think it is a homegrown serial sniper and that the police will eventually find him. But that is not the case - they never found the Zodiac killer.

Pucker factor just went up a notch I know; I just tried to stand up, and my chair came with me.

From your post I got a distinct picture of a bunch of sheep grazing in a pasture.

I'd shoot back (or first, if drawn upon). My brother is a SWAT team member and even he wouldn't be the hero you would be.

To: mhking
I hate to say this, but I think the killer has gotten away. Too much time has elapsed since the shooting and no word of an apprehension. Sure hope I'm wrong.

Man on lawnmower, folks filling gas tanks ... Somehow the internal combustion engine fits into this scenario. Time to read "Earth in the Balance" ...DC area. It all adds up. Al Gore finally lost it fully.
