NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.

No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.

Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

UPDATE FROM NEWSROOM IN FREDERICKSBURG (for new page of thread)

A reporter just told me that the shooting victim has died. He was taken to a hospital just a few miles from the shooting, but they couldn't save him.

Police have stopped a white van that was aggressively bumping its way through traffic. No word on what they have found.

Shooting victim was a middle-aged man (we think). Again, witnesses are reported to have seen the shooters, not just their van, but the shooters themselves.

Another shooting, just south of Fredericksburg, VA. Police are in pursuit on 95 northbound, stopping white vans. Info is unclear beyond that.

Just an odd thought, but it seems curious that a common thread to most of the shootings are at gas stations.

Overlay the anarchist left's current anti-war cry that "it's all about oil" into the scenario and a possible profile emerges.
