NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.

No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.

Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

If I'm understanding the police Lt. on CNN, there APPEARS to be an interesting situation with a white van pulled over, but they are waiting for more backup prior to approaching the vehicle.

Awful to say, but when they find this creep, I hope it's part of an al queda or other sleeper cell.

I know it sounds terrible but I hope so too. This is not your average american serial killer of the past. Has nothing in common with Son of Sam. After reading about that AL QUEDA training tape I wont be surprised if it is. I wonder how the media will report it if so??

I think you have some sleeper cells in AZ, without a doubt. I saw a map. There are over 200 cells in the USA. (and those are the ones they've counted). Lots of hiding places in AZ.

UPDATE FROM NEWSROOM IN FREDERICKSBURG

A reporter just told me that the shooting victim has died. He was taken to a hospital just a few miles from the shooting, but they couldn't save him.

Sheesh, one would think that with the FBI, ATF, and all the local police on heightened alert and maximum staffing it would be easy to radio ahead and cath this vehicle.
