NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.

No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.

Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

No. This location is several miles south of where the other Fredericksburg shooting happened.

This is the specific area of the shooting. The Exxon station is right on that corner. I live and work approximately five miles from that location.

This view pulls back and gives you it's relation to Washington, D.C., and the Capital Beltway (red star near bottom is the shooting site).

I still think these are terrorists from a Md sleeper cell. They want us to be afraid to get gas, go to school and to shop, the things that Americans do every day. If we quit buying gas, then it hurts the economy, so does not shopping.

Don't think for a second that there are not satellites and spy airplanes in constant overflight of the region these days.

I think all day there isn't a single spy aircraft over the East Coast; we don't have enough of them and I'm sure they're all busy in the Middle East. And they'd be UTTERLY USELESS in this case.
