I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

Unfortunately, there are lots of exits off I-95 between Fredericksburg and DC. The perp could hop off on any of them and disappear.Don't think for a second that there are not satellites and spy airplanes in constant overflight of the region these days.
He ain't goin' anywhere.

I would have thought that many of these gas stations would have security cameras trained on the pumps as well as in the stores. It seems that the perp should be recorded on film somewhere, but maybe I'm off base.

Todays shooting was at same place as a prior shooting? Is that what I am reading?????

Thanks for the info.

The other day I theorized that the white van or truck could be leaving the scene quickly to bait any one into suspecting them.
That way the shooters' vehicle could take off slowly with the evidence and not draw attention.
It's a possibility that's why more than one vehicle is being sought.

The Virginia State Police are the best and they will get this sob.

Fox reporting white van stopped between exits 4 and 5--has yellow ladder.
To: ChadGore
I'm not getting the impression there's a hot pursuit of anything or ever was a hot pursuit... they're just blocking roads and stopping all the white vans.
I hope the "Chevy Astro Van with ladder rack" deal turns out to be an ACTUAL "I saw a guy fire out of it" report and not a "someone was shot, I'll look around for the nearest white van driving by and tell police" deal.

Speaking of Fox, did you hear them say this a.m. that they have a function on their website for hotels now? Say you want to go to Dallas, you input Dallas & they tell you which hotels carry Fox News. Plus you get a discount. Brilliant idea!

I'm with you - "HE HATES THESE CANS!" Thought about that a few times in the past week, couldn't help it, no doubt the comic relief was needed. I love that movie, but this puts a different perspective on it now though.
Praying they have this guy in their sights!!!

These crimes are probably recorded on satellite images having advanced optics/cameras onboard.Do you have ANY idea how much DATA this would entail?
Get real and quit spouting this nonsense ...

Michelle Malkin also thinks .22 and .223 ammo are the same thing. They are both "22-caliber," after all. </sarcasm>

WTOP-FM (local DC news station) said that it was right across the street from a VA state police division office...
