NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

Yeah AQ is, but I'm trying to not let the turban fall over my eyes, so that while worrying them, we miss the shooter.
I agree with Hackworth, this guy is domestic and not an import.
Hackworth seems to be on the ball. I'll take what he says over 99% of the others giving their theories. jmo

go to the BBC website, they have put up posts from people from the D.C. area on how they are taking this. with each day, the tension escalates. probably on the same level of nervousness when all the anthrax was flying around a year ago.

My brother has said ever since 9/11 that when the first car bomb goes off as it drives into a Home Depot is when we will all feel truly unsafe. I hope there is a lot of info the feds and police know that we don't (even though that drives us crazy because we all want to play armchair detective).

Yeah - a lot of us thought it might say Allah and the police are trying to force the shooters hand into making or releasing a statement. But why chose a tarot card? Why not a playing card? Why not just the handwritten not?

Let's see if I can change your mind again. The various stories that came out the Vietnam war was some of our guys would leave a calling card on a VC such as an Ace of Spades. We were foreigners in their land and to have such an item left in place was to send chills (terror?) to the other VC's.
Now apply this to the current situation where as the general public has seen this type of activity in movies and other fictional venues, yet now it is not fiction.
The Tarot card in my opinon, would have been better used if the handwriting had been left off. The wording tends to point towards someone translating or is using Engish as a second language.

I say it's kids(17-22) who read a story about the tarot card being left by snipers and they combined that with thier terror.
I just read this story on a airsoft(play malitia weapon) site and it was posted in late Aug.

Today's victim? I think I heard a police spokesman say earlier today that he was shot in the side. Manassas victim a couple of days ago was shot in the head.
