NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.

No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.

Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

Even a tissue has dust on it that will scratch the lens on optical equipment. That's the best example of how microscopic dust and grit is all over, that I can think of.
The US Mil has brass brushes with steel take down rods and steel screw mounts for the brush. I polished the up very well, because otherwise they'd tear the bore and crown to shreds.

A truck driver heard the rifle shot. A maid at the hotel saw the white van. Inside was a woman. The van was swerving. The maid said the woman was driving and could not tell if there was someone else in the van. The police are sure if the van was involved in the shooting.

Rainy Day nuisance post.

I had this idea that the assasin was using a 'pentagram' pattern. Theorized that he was an anarchist/satanist/socialist type. I noticed that the shooting locations corresponded with the numbers in the order that a pentagram is supposed to be drawn to invoke certain elements. But with this latest in Fredericksburg it looks like all the evildoer is interested in is killing around major highways. I was wrong but it gave me something to do to look for a pattern. When I drew this the last shooting was in Manassas. Was thinking perp might head to the Michael's in California, MD.

The FBI has released information just today (base on the release of those alQaida tapes earlier this week) that there are new threats by al Qaida towards the United States to hit economic targets. Since the police for one week have been so tight lipped about the possibility of this being terrorism (they often will not even deal with the common sense observation that terrorism COULD be a factor), then we need to approach this from an opposite line of questioning.

At the next FBI briefing, the reporters should ask this question:

"An alert has been issued about a new round of terrorism directed at the United States. Could this take the form of urban snipers in the Capitol Area of the US hitting soft targets and basically creating terror and affecting the economic infrastructure in the area?"

I'd like to see them wiggle out of that one.

Thanks. Seems there recently was a woman seen dropping off a man with a long case (gun case?) near some woods. She was picked up and questioned. Wonder what color hair the woman had.

If that's the case the trooper had the advantage of seeing a fleeing vehicle....I bet the shooter did not shoot from his vehicle...are there nearby buildings in the area?

That guy was found and he was part of a surveying team preparing for some new construction in the area.

His equipment was in a long black bag.
