I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

It would be the grit the brass brush carries that does the scratching. Any dust, or bit of corrosion in the barrel that gets picked up by the brush, is harder and the brass just supports the grit as it makes microscopic cuts in the steel.

It would seem that an employer who has employees driving white vans with ladders should be able to look at where their employees were called on certain days. You may be on to something here. It would explain why there was no apparent sniper shooting over the weekend.

Joe still undecided this was terrorism??

This is excuse my FRENCH.....one ballsy shooter.......he killed this guy under a cops nose... The shot that killed the lady on the bench near the post office, was taken within spitting distance from the Glenmont Police station. You are right!
To: OReilly
Up until now, I thought the sniper was non-violent. Glad they clarified the issue.

You may well be right, but this sort of thing isn't outside of the FBI's experience. As for the helos, etc. you suggest, good call. The police are doing just that. I hope that this is over soon. Although an individual living here has a much less than 1/500,000 chance of being hit by this goblin, the crimes are horrendous.
I learned yesterday that one of the VA victims' home is just around the corner from mine..........
To: Joe Hadenuf
Q. Should people get gas?
A. He not targeting just gas stations, yes people should get gas.

Would ya not think that the number of "hits" in this urban area on the spectrs sensors would keep the LEO's busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest ?:o)
I guess we could go back to the scene from FMJ where the door gunner explains who is and isn't VC.........well disiplined ect ect :o)
AC's have pulled my bacon outta the fire in the past. If your associated I will say THANK YOU ! Cold Cervesa and Steak on me if your ever near the panhandle of Texas.
Stay Safe !

From an instant message I just received: " i bet this is being pulled off by shadow gov't elements that want to ban guns"
That is a possibility. Another is terrorists who would prefer the U.S. to be much more like the "Western" nations of Europe - harsh restrictions on firearms ownership makes for easier colonization by the moose limbs.
