Although the likes of CNN think racial profiling is OK when it comes to trying to find the D.C.-area sniper (but immoral in hunting terrorists), profiling does little to solve homicides and has led to few arrests.
So says retired New York police detective John Baeza, who told the Washington Times that statistical-based theories on the race, age, sex of a criminal are often groundless when little evidence exists.
Charles Patrick Ewing, a forensic psychologist and professor of law at the University at Buffalo, agreed. "It's really too early to believe a psychological profile is going to be useful," he told the Times.
"It's so dense a population that it really doesn't narrow it down."
People could overlook a viable suspect if he does not fit the description presented by profilers. Though speculation that the sniper is a man is fairly safe, details such as race and age are much more questionable, he said.
"in airsoft people freak out and there is no lag and it takes some...no i mean a lot of thinking and u will be very VERY good at it...oh and i got talked out of the XM177E2 to a HK SG-1 which is a full auto "sniper" rifle...either that or wait a couple of months and get the P-90 (like in goldeneye for N64 the RCP-90) "Why should i cheat when i know i could kick ur ass without cheating and i would know i am and always would be better that u"
If I could only tell you his nick. It's worse!
"and i got some more RAM so i will be able to play df3 and i will be a sniper, and if i ever get good enough, i will come back and see if i can be in *** again"
Judging intelligence based on diction is a popular pastime among the liberal press. Bush is much smarter than his language-mangling might indicate, so we should cut the Moose some slack on his public speaking abilities.
