I think I will write a program to do it automagically next time. I'll just make some files that have the ads, and maybe have the program try to guess the most appropriate one based off of the keywords, and post it as new threads are posted. It'll definitely make it easier on us!

Wish I had thought of it sooner. Since the threads are now numbered sequentially, it should be a snap. In the old days, the threads had those randomly generated IDs which would have made it more difficult :-)

You posted: Come 'on now - the more I donate to worthy causes and projects, the more it seems the Lord makes available for donating. This is true in my life - as my dad is fond of saying, "You cannot outgive the Lord."

In each of our lives God loans us time, talent and treasure to be good stewards.

When you donate/give all 3 T's to good causes. God refills what we give and usually tops off the tank with a little more.

I was thinking of a program that would periodically load up the latest posts page, to get the most recent thread ID. It would then fetch the page for each thread with that ID or lower, read the keywords, pick an ad, and post it to the thread.

Just turn it on, and let it go until the Freepathon is over. All we would have to do is come up with new ads to feed into it. Completely hands off.

Your all welcome. I'd also like to thank DU for helping me decide to donate. Happened last freepathon. They posted a thread that was dancing with glee at this site's possible demise when the last freepathon donations stagnated. Of course they're too stupid to realize that the previous one before met it's goal and they looked like fools when the donations picked up again and that one also hit the mark.

Part of my donation is an up yours dedicated as a resonse to DU for the inane, horrible, and crude comments about Barbara Olson that they still post there to this day. Choke on it libs.
