BREAKING: White Panel Van Stopped Near I-66, Manassas, Virginia

It is being reported via WMAL radio, Washington, D.C., that a white panel van has been stopped near I-66, Manassas, Virginia, in a possible connection to the mass slayings in the Tri-State area.
According to persons at or near the scene, Rt 234, near I-66, is completely blocked off and persons are being diverted east on I-66. At least four helicopters have been deployed over the scene.

UPDATE: An Asian man in a black Honda is being sought as a witness (only as a witness) in the Sunoco gas station slaying, I-66, Manassas, Virginia.

UPDATE: The Sunoco gas station, the site of the latest area killing, is located very near another Michael's craft store. This would be the 3rd of 8 killings to take place near a Michael's store.

UPDATE: The man killed at the Sunoco gas station was reported struck in the head by a single bullet. Persons working at the area Shoney's restaurant heard a single gunshot, but saw no one fleeing the scene.

To tell the truth, I don't think it took that much planning. The MO is almost identical to that of the San Francisco Zebra killers of the 1970s. They turned out to be a group of about 8 Black Muslims who called themselves the Death Angels and choose victims who were weak and defenseless - women, people washing their cars, etc. - just to show how heartless they were. They simply picked somebody slightly isolated, shot them, and drove away. The police didn't break the case, and finally one of them - who had been caught for something else, I think - confessed and named the others. A very simple MO, a low-budget terror plan carried out by several people, and one that was very successful over a period of about 18 months. At least 17 people were killed by the "Death Angels."

As I mentioned to another poster earlier, the thing that alarms me is that those Zebra killers who finally did end up in jail were to be released in 2002. That's this year.

I think they'd have said "the head" though. Sounds like the school boy's or the lady's except they survived.

They need to be able to throw up roadblocks and checkpoints quickly in the affected area as rapidly as possible with prestaged teams ready to do this in the metro area with a plan to check all vehicles in the area after the next shooting. They can not hope this SOB will go away and need to pray that more do not spring up in other cities across the country. Lets roll!

I've been saying the same thing. The DC Metro Area police departments have to have large teams ready to roll within minutes of the next attack with roadblocks/checkpoints that freezes all traffic in the area including side streets. It might inconvenience an awful lot of people but if done right, this has a very good chance of trapping the killer(s).

A paneled van is one with no windows on the side? Like a florist truck?

According to fox news reporter on the scene the finding of the shell casing is important because....."When fired, the SHELL CASING travels down the barrel and the grooves in the rifle barrel will make marks and can help link the bullet to the rifle"

HUH???????? Surely I heard her wrong. Are people that dumb?
