I'd say that he does not care who he chooses, death comes to all or whomever he chooses no matter who they are, Rich...Poor...A Child... A Mother...A Father...etc! I don't think he is trying to point out who his next target will be, but that his next random target could be any of the above... death comes to all and he does not care WHO he kills but only if they are going to be an easy target.

Personally I think this guy is a hunter, who has decided to have open season on humans. I think he enjoys the hunt and he also enjoys being hunted by the police and the public. He is not done yet and I do not think he will be caught unless he in the act of killing someone else and I do not think he will be taken alive. He may set up somewhere for his final killings and just start taking out as many as he can at once, before he is shot down and killed. I think his hunger will grow for more attention and will hunt out more victims. I think he picks busy areas so that if he his caught he will have plenty of victims around to take down before he is actually taken down. This is a sport to him

I'm having a terrible time keeping up with all the new threads... Are you guys having the same problem?

In reference to the NAVY SEALS Game ( which I just purchased ). It doesnt have a sniper theme, the Sniping just comes w/ the territory and weapons. It has a very terrorist theme. The level im on right now I have to infiltrate a cave complex and disarm 2 nuclear suitcase bombs. Other missions include the Rescue of POWs and elimination of bad guys. Its a GREAT game.
To: OXENinFLA
I should also add the game has a great sound effects too. They have towel heads yelling "Allal Akbar" (sp) when they are running toward me. Funny as he!!.
To: OXENinFLA
Thanks for that clarification I've not seen it, was told though, that SNIPING was a big deal in it...'theme' was my word..

"Police seized seven weapons, including rifles and hand guns, but at this point, law enforcement sources tell 9 News they have nothing to conclusively link the man to the shootings. Why were his guns taken then?
To: OXENinFLA
Is it just me or does this whole thing sound like a "Profiler" episode?
To: OXENinFLA
They can't say they have anything conclusive even if they do, for legal reasons. That's why they constantly say things like "John Doe is not a suspect," even if he's their top suspect.
Just look at the way the FBI has handled the Anthrax cases, it keeps saying Hatfield is not a suspect, it even said Hatfield is not a "person of interest" when they were ransacking his home.

My understanding of ballistics leads me to believe that it would be nearly impossible to prove that two bullets fired into two human body matched because the velocity is so great that the bullets wold be extremely distorted by the impact.
Any useful rifling marks would be destroyed.
My theory is that the guy is using a bolt action rifle, possibly a 22-250 and is planting .223 casings he picked up at the range at the shooting scenes.

What do you all think of creating a ping list that 2 - 4 people can use when starting new threads about the sniper? We could just copy all of those regulars on the threads, and than pass along to the folks who start the new threads
To: TEXASPROUD; Squantos
I don't have 7 guns, I swear.
To: Blood of Tyrants
That may have been true a decade ago, but I doubt that a jacketed bullet can't be identified. In fact, someone has posted a report that only two of the bullets cannot be traced to the same gun. If the bullet if off the shelf and in one piece, the weight would identify it. I'll bet that commercial loads that have the same nominal weight are, in fact, identifiable by small weight or composition differences.

They investigated this guy because he had seven guns? Sure makes me glad I only have 6!
To: OXENinFLA
Why were his guns taken then? Because it's Md,but mostly because they CAN. Just wait until the new Office of Reich Security gets rolling!

someone has posted a report that only two of the bullets cannot be traced to the same gun...Where?! Link much appreciated! That was my real question...the reporting was so unclear whether the bullets were "identical" in "type" or, identical in "fact", meaning the same gun. The implication seemed to be "the same gun", but why then didn't they just say that?!
Yes, I must catch upon my reading, never mind about the "white truck" (too right, no doubt, JHK, hehe!) and, K4, I don't know exactly how "ping lists" work, but if it's anything like a "clearing-house site" for the "latest updates" on this story, I think that would be great idea, as no one has time all the time to catch up on all the news!
Freegards, all, and thanks for helping /ignorance! ;)
