President Bush headed to Knoxville, Tennessee to speak to workers at Alcoa regarding the war on terror, and once again called on Congress to pass the Homeland Security and terrorism insurance bills. Before heading to Alcoa, Bush spoke in favor of Republican gubernatorial candidate Van Hilleary at the Cherokee Aviation Hanger. Bush also asked Attorney General Ashcroft to seek an injunction under the Taft-Hartley Act, ending the lockout and requiring work at the ports to resume at a normal pace. The injunction is done as a cooling off period for both parties involved. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I sure agree with you about Byrd! He is now going to use all kinds of parliamentary procedures to delay the vote until next week. I think even daschle is getting sick of his games. I think he is close to senile!
Did you see what Terry McAuliffe said? He said he is going to have thousands of lawyers posted on election day and also will have an 800 number for RAT voters to call if they have "problems" voting or if they are intimidated. Time for the Justice Department to step in and put a stop to this garbage.

Our heroes have always been cowboys! You betcha! I know lots of real cowboys and most of them are honest, straightforward, hard working, selfless people - just like our President.

I agree. I'm telling you, this- with the NJ case, is just all part of a bigger scheme. It just stinks of corruption.

Thank you so much for this wonderful thread. I lurk here and don't post often, but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy this thread. I think that every time our President speaks he looks more and more determined and focused. I'm so glad that President Bush is in charge. I also love Rummy! :)

we probably could get away with filling in their ballots
tempting ...
If it's ok to murder in self defense, or start wars in national defense, is it ok to steal votes in defense of liberty, in order that the very right to vote will not be stolen by tyrants?
To: SevenofNine
Harry Belfonte is a has been or is that a never was. Why can't these liberal Hollywood morons shut up.

What did you think of George Tenet's remarks today? Telling the Senate that there was a danger that Saddam would unleash his weapons of mass distruction if he was attacked? This guy is supposed to be on the Bush team? I think the President should fire his a$$ tonight! He is a clintonite that President Bush gave a chance to - he blew it today.

That's for sure -- welcome !!

I agree. If the Democrats win the NJ Senate, they will effectively stole the election with the help of the NJ Supreme and yes, the US Supreme Court since they did not stop the NJ court from writing new the law.

I will be posting more often. I'm praying very hard for this next election. The Dems are getting worried and scared that makes them dangerous.

Welcome, SassyMom! Free Republic is addicting, isn't it? I have been here either lurking or registered since the fall of 1999 and a day without FR is like a day without sunshine! Please post often! (I like Rummy, too! :-))

I am in hog heaven, house sitting for friends who are vacationing in Europe, leaving me in possession of their gorgeous home overlooking salt water, with cable TV (FOX NEWS FOREVER!), and the peace and quiet of country living. Plus they have a supercool dog (part black Lab). I got to watch the President's speech as it happened last night. I just want you all to know, who have cable or satellite dishes, you are blessed!

The first picture! How do you spell, Hubba Hubba!
Good grief, when is Congress going to pass the homeland security bill? Will they never stop putting their political agenda ahead of our security?
To: Wait4Truth
Actually I have always felt this is an argument only a moron would make. "Don't try to take him out because he might use us weapons of mass destruction if you do" How stupid. If there is any chance he will use them on innocent people for whatever the reason, he needs to be taken out. That is such a stupid argument!!!!!
