All weekend the police were on the TV saying how the schools are safe, even that they would be allowing outside recess today! The police have continually emphasized that the schools are safe since the beginning of the killing spree. Seems that the Evil SOB(s) involved here took a cue from this. As an ex-FBI profiler said today, the sniper is saying "In Your Face".
The LEOs need to start thinking of taking some novel, if not drastic measures. They have to focus more on anticipating the next likely targets, especially with respect to timing. Perhaps picking out say 10 prime areas in the DC area that would appeal to this Sicko (good cover/easy get away routes) and literally shut down all traffic with roadblocks and do a car to car search on everybody. Yes, it would take one helluva lot of cops to do this but it could trap the killers and flush em out in the open.

Fox News just had an analyst on briefly who mentioned Middle East terrorism as a possibility.

You bet, they were on last night telling everyone the schools are safe and it's business as usual at the schools. I can see the bad guy sitting there watching TV, cleaning his rifle laughing.... Egg on face......

Of course this may not be the same bad guy/guys.......But at this point, the ensuing concern and panic will have the same effect.......

The police have continually emphasized that the schools are safe since the beginning of the killing spree. Irresponsible mistake. It was an open invitation IMO. I thought I read that immediately after the first couple of shootings that the Secret Service was involved. I don't understand why the feds didn't take this case early on. This should have been taken very seriously, especially in light of the threats on American schools.

Bring out the National Guard if that's what it takes.

The leftists are ready to pounce - LEO types have to be super careful. Anything the govt. does has to be carefully planned, nuanced, and caveated, because people on the left differentiate on the basis of "who got hurt." There are leftists right now more outraged about what happened to stir up these criminals and "cause their anger", than they are outraged over the murders. BTW I saw that "chief" on TV - and I felt a surge of anger at the stupidity of Richard Nixon signing the EO on "affirmative" action.
