Smart Mother... if the kid lives, it will be because she decided correctly, that they could not wait for the ambulance

I don't agree. In the suburbs, ambulance response times are like 2-3 minutes. The ambulance crew can provide all kinds of supportive measures to stem the bleeding, keep his blood pressure up, etc. In addition, the ER staff will know exactly what they have coming & will be immediately ready for it.

By driving him herself, she probably cost him 5-10 minutes of effective treatment time.

While intellectually what you say might make sense, I doubt I would see it that way if my child lay bleeding at my feet.

Come on... lets get serius! It takes them 2-3 minutes to get into the vehicle. I've measured it in Montgomery County (personal calls, heart attack and auto injury) and it varies from 10 minutes at best to >30 minutes. It took 30 minutes for this to even hit the news.
