I don't agree. In the suburbs, ambulance response times are like 2-3 minutes.

Come on... lets get serius! It takes them 2-3 minutes to get into the vehicle. I've measured it in Montgomery County (personal calls, heart attack and auto injury) and it varies from 10 minutes at best to >30 minutes. It took 30 minutes for this to even hit the news.

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that Montgomery County, Maryland is the most socialist county in the country? They can't do anything efficiently - so it's no surprise EMS sucks too.
