".270 would do a lot more damage than what happened to that kid.

I was including the other shootings of last Thursday/Friday, which were fatal

Unless they actually found a spent shell.

The channel 9 TV reporter said NO casings were found at any of the other shooting and no witnesses, except for the one witness at Leisure World.

but I don't think there's much size difference between a .22 and a .223

Not much difference in diameter.

Pretty big difference in mass.

A .22 Long Rifle can hit a traget at significantly more than 100 yards. No scope is necessary. A .22LR (Long Rifle) will carry and potentially cause death or injury up to a mile.

Size of lead is similar, but the amount of powder puts the .223 way ahead of the 22LR as far as velocity and range

So the 13 year old is clinging to life IMO. The torso contains too many organ systems and major arteries. If he survives, it will be a miracle.

And I'd like to inquire one final time: WHERE IS THE GOVERNOR OF MARYLAND? GOVERNOR, WOULD YOU SAY A FEW WORDS TO YOUR CONSTITUENTS? IT'S YOUR JOB!!!

It's not the bullet size that matters here. It's the amount of charge and the weight of the lead in the air. We are talking force = mass X acceleration and the 223 makes the 22 look like a bb coming out of a straw versus a cannon.

We're not really talking about a gunfight here.

"I notice no Arabs have been shot, unless the thirteen year old is." I notice no Eskimos or Pacific Islanders have been shot either. And your point is?

Maryland is one of the few states with significant Muslim population.

Geographical Distribution:  The table below represents a breakdown by states of the largest Muslim communities in the United States. It shows that there are an estimated 3.3. million Muslims in these states. The figure represents 62 percent of the estimated 5 million Muslims living in the United States.

Not sure what the cause was. But it was pretty much destroyed and then rebuilt. The store wasn't very old when it burned.

I tend to agree with you. This killer had this all planned. He did his homework before he started. Random shooting so police can't profile him as "serial" and also doing it from far away and from behind so no-one can identify him. The police are not going to catch this person unless he makes a big mistake.

That's what they are thinking, since no brass has been recovered and only one witness (Leisure World).
