Well, we don't know what level of care this boy received from the 'get go'. . .but he received care quickly. . .and he is still alive; and that is good. . .

As to helicopters in particular, yes. . .they really help and I cannot imagine Emergency or our Law Enforcement, without them and I hope they are in full use today looking for whomever in MD. . .

What would be very frightening is if this is just a test run - to see how much damage a single sniper that makes well-timed attacks can do without being caught. It may also be a test of the abilities of our law enforcement people to investigate such attacks. If this sniper gets away with it, then the OBL crowd will know the U.S. is vulnerable to this type of terrorism. Then, a few months later, multiple cells across the U.S. go into action and we have dozens of sniper attacks every monring over several weeks. The reason this frightens me is that I cannot see a clear way to quickly counter this treat unless one of these guys is caught and rats out his terrorist buddies. Anyone else have ideas about this line of reasoning? There is one way: Round up EVERY Muslim and send them all to the middle east!! DO IT NOW!

LOL. I'm not an AC fan or even a murder mystery fan, so had no basis to challenge is account. I will say the guy in my office is about 90 years old (he's the founder of my law firm), and while he still practices law, God Bless Him, he is no longer the sharpest tack in the drawer.

What we HAVE heard is Pat Brown on FOX news say they are probably looking for someone who has copies of "Guns&Ammo" magazine on their coffe table.

That's pretty pathetic police work. "Guns and Ammo" issues are on my coffee table and in the guest bathroom. I suspect it's on the coffe tables of several of my neighbors too.

I am not yet convinced that this is terroism. I still lean towards a Son of Sam or Zodiac type killer. Also, is there any evidence that the 13 year old was shot with the same gun that got the other victims? This is PG County after all.

Just heard on WMAL: Montgomery County (or was it all of Maryland?) is canceling all afternoon kindergarten and prekindergarten today. So why are the other grades still having afternoon classes?

This one is a tough call. They might be guarding their info on the shooter. Moose said earlier that the white truck is hot because we've been told to look for it, and its possible that the shooter has a different vehicle now.

So, using this as an example, had they kept the white truck info to themselves, would the shooter be more apt to continue using it, thinking no one is on to the white truck? By releasing the info on the white truck, if it is the vehicle being used, merely alerted the shooter to change vehicles. So, the one clue they may had, may now be gone.

Know what I mean? Kind of hard to know what info they should give out on this.
