There are many, many thousands of people who could "pull this off", meaning they could fire one shot and hit a person a reasonable distance away, then drive off. There is really no legendary marksmanship being displayed here beyond the average competent recreational shooter.

What we must be asking ourselves is, "what kind of person WOULD coldly shoot a wide spectrum of complete strangers, and what would be their objective?". I can only conclude that the shooter(s) wants to create chaos and terror by making everyone in the area scared to death to come out of their houses, thereby shutting down local society. Now that there has been a school shooting, many parents will refuse to allow their kids to go to school. I don't blame them a bit either. The wide variety of victims and the suburban settings would serve to terrify almost every sector of society. Lawn mowers. Soccer moms. ANY moms. Hispanics. Whites, blacks.

Although it would be premature to pin this on Islamists at this point, it sure stinks of someone who hates America and is actively trying to bring it down, hoping others will join in the attack...that points to either Islam or the DNC, or maybe some of the thousands of raging sign-bearers we saw over the weekend. I'm betting on Islam.

Why do they need to tell us......AND THE SHOOTER....that any white truck pulled over, and searched, will have a certain designated 'notice' (I'm not even repeating it here!!!) put on their back bumper or wherever, to note that this vehicle has been cleared.

Also, not knowing the area, but, aren't most of these people in this area associated with the government in some way.

While there are lots of government workers in the DC suburbs (for obvious reasons, probably a higher concentration than you would find anywhere else in the country), so far as I know only one of the seven victims to date worked for the government.

Not to be critical of police who are in a tough spot everywhere, but although, as you said, schools are big places, it seems to make much more sense to have the cop posted outside the front door where buses pull up than inside the school. None of the shootings thus far have happened inside any buildings.

What was the cop doing INSIDE the school -

I've not seen anything that states where the cop was, only that there is "a cop posted at the school." If the kid was shot from a distance, it doesn't matter where the cop was standing.

I think this is very well planned too, with easy get-away points. A nut job isn't typically so well organized, generally being too crazy to plan so carefully. I'm sure there have been exceptions and Freepers could point to this or that case in the past, but given today's post 9/11 climate, it's all too easy and understandable to suspect strongly that this is Islamic terrorism. We've all seen the tapes of the terrorists planning various attacks and they are very well trained.
