The targets are varied, they are not government associated, and have no similarities.

Overall, excellent analysis, save one category: Al Qaeda/Islamist Terrorist. Based on their video tapes and materials recovered from Afghanistan, this fits their MO to a "T."

I know many folks will hate to hear this, but I'd say it's time to start detaining/deporting foreign nationals.

I can't believe the police don't have any IDEA what this guy looks like! There have to have been some people around who could have seen something. They had over 2000 calls the other day on their hotline and NOT ONE gave them any important info?

I think it's safe to say that the shooter is shooting from a vehicle that has a covert shooting area within the vehicle, a snipers nest if you will, and that he is either using a silencer or something to neutralize the sound of the rifle within the vehicle, shooting out of a small gun port ect.....

Its time for a major assumption on my part, while I would agree with the following in peacetime:

"According to my map, the nearest fire department/EMS is 2.75 miles from the school. Another is 5 miles and another about 9 miles. My guess is, with a cell phone call to 911, EMS would have been there in 5 minutes. I don't know what the protocol is, but the 911 call might just have triggered a helicopter response.

The Children's Hospital, to where the boy was eventually taken, is about 14.5 miles from the school. "

I’m not really sure it is a good idea to believe that this "Peace Time" response can be counted upon now. If this was a concerted terrorist action, I’d be willing to bet that these response times will be significantly longer. What if instead of a single child shot, there were children shot at a dozen schools in the area? Can you say ‘overwhelmed’ by the situation?

In light of the current world situation, US citizens have got to take more responsibility for themselves in crisis’s. Waiting for an EMS response that may never come assumes a lot. I’m not sure that trusting in the system is a good idea anymore. Part of the process has got to be an understanding that the system itself may be under attack.

The man was picked up over the weekend, and is no longer a suspect, or even a "person of interest." He had returned his rifle to the dealer he bought it from (before the shootings, I believe), and no weapons were found in his possession. He is being held on a car theft charge from Florida. He was reported missing by his family on Monday, well before the shootings took place.

This was a case of the Maryland police grasping at straws for the perfect suspect: a white supremicist.

Very interesting. Muslims are supposed to pray five times a day but I don't know if there are specific times for the prayers. However, the prayer wouldn't take long so the "dead time" would probably be indistinguishable from regular moving around.

All PG County high schools have at least one cop in them. Many middles schools and some elementary schools do too, but Bowie is one of the nicest places in PG County -- very low crime, clean, Republican. Tasker may have not had a cop present.

You make good points. I'm with everyone re it's unlikely that no one has any sort of description of the shooter. So many shootings in broad daylight at rush hour - seems someone would have to see something.

Fox just reported that there was a copy posted IN the school at the time of the shooting.

And how many of the previous shootings were 'inside'? The cop should have been OUTSIDE!
