13 year old boy shot infront of school. Police scanners on!
They regrouped, took care of ordinary business over the weekend and were back on the "job" today...except I think they switched shooters Friday (#7 & #8....just a little different technique....

Thanks...I appreciate the smile--
Or get under/behind solid cover. But I wasn't addressing self defense. Somebody has to get the sniper, or the sniper will get more people It doesn't have to be one of his targets. It can be a bystander. Now the Army would just call in an Apache or a Warthog, but that's a little difficult in this scenario, even if you had them on call. Although a Hog in the rearview mirror would tend to make the sniper(s) a tiny bit nervous, don't you think?
Regardless of all the ballistic science involved, I do hope the boy does well and also the woman who survived from Friday.

Yikes, for a second I thought you discussing Duncan. Granted I think he needs to be replaced.
Did you catch the former FBI guy doing a personnality profile on WMAL the last 2 days? He's gone from definate white guy to possible muslim in 24 hrs.
This is what Isreal deals with everyday.
God hold them, please.
If they haven't figured out where each shot was fired from by now, they're thinking too hard.
Think the early call of the white truck got them off the track but they're back on now.
Someone said the U of Maryland is close by the Thursday series. Heck, in that case, a student could almost be walking the entire scenario on Thursday.
Notice the two last hits were further apart (the two which did not die)...AND on the last day of the week and the first day of the next week (today)....so they went south for the weekend and came back up north on Monday.

It also could explain the weekend....went to stay with friends (or whatever) as they usually did on weekends.
I'd say they were in excellent physical condition, big hockey fans, quiet, clean...They fit in quite reasonably but defend Muslims when confronted.
Where's the nearest local Mosque??

I know what you mean. His performance does not inspire much confidence. I have to wonder how many much more highly qualified candidates were passed over to make room for his allotment. We can only hope he recognizes his own limitations and steps aside when big decisions are made on how to catch this sick piece of human trash.
If I were LEO I imagine I would be torn by the temptation to wade through the wide variety of possibilities and collected data by using nationality-based profiling.
Back to the question of multiple getaway cars, that is certainly a possibility, but the larger the group and the larger the materiel, the more attention one attracts. In the OKC bombing, for example, IIRC many people recalled *two* Ryder trucks and multiple drivers moving and locating together, in some detail. The witnesses probably remembered more rather than less due in part to the size of the operation.
Also the larger the network of operatives working together, the greater the danger of exposure due to the weakest link. Security and secrecy is maximized by keeping the cells as small as possible and operating independently without knowledge of or links with each other.
Or, both, if the sniper was really devious.
Meanwhile yesterday, in the District, where one of the slayings took place, Police Chief Charles H. Ramsey said that police dogs trained to sniff out gunpowder or explosive residue were "alerted" to a wall about 80 yards from the site where Pascal Charlot, 72, was shot to death Thursday night in Northwest.
The wall bears the sign for Northminster Presbyterian Church, at the nearby corner of Alaska Avenue and Kalmia Road NW.
Pastor Leonard Lassiter said that police told him Sunday that they would be "exhaustively" checking the five-foot wall, and possibly removing bricks to test them. The wall sits under a tree, in a fairly dark area with a clear line of sight to the well-lighted corner where Charlot was killed with a single shot about 9:20 p.m.
I can't say I ever remember noticing this wall. Does it ring any bells in your mind?
