This is a hit squad or a quiet cell working here imo. It screams of the warnings given for months about schools being a target,suburbia hits, and the random killings. I have heard however the boy in question has a bad history and was not allowed to ride the school bus which is why he was with guardian taking him to school. Maybe a thug was trying to knock him off? But I doubt it. I think if it was a kid that did this it would have been in the face or up close enough for the guardian or someone else to see a kid running away.

Bottom line...thei is Homeland Security trying to prevent a panic.

They had a "former" FBI profiler say that it would be a 20-30 year old white guy, disenfranchised from society yada..yada..yada.. Then there is the BOLO (Be On LookOut) for 2 hispanic or potentially middle eastern males in a white box van.

Interesting pc here ---if the criminal can't be white then hispanic is the next least pc category? Middle Eastern males are so pc nowdays we can't accuse them even when it's most likely them.

It'll be interesting to know if these are foreigners if they entered this country after Sept 11, 2001.

Whether this proves to be AQ or other international terrorism, these individual attacks are similar to what happens in Israel, with the exception that in Maryland the sh!ithead isn't willing to commit suicide by bombing. I agree with you that so many people won't get what we're up against until there is another terrorist attack.

Maryland has really changed. I grew up in MD in a house where there were guns, shotguns, rifles and handguns. While my parents no longer live in the state they are considering moving back. I told them they'd better check if their weapons are legal now or not. Basically the response I got from them was "screw the state, I'm keeping my guns".

Not everyone from or in MD is as anti-gun as the government is.

Well, OK, except the Fredricksburg shooting had a midsized green/gray car and no white truck. I think it'd be a complete waste of resources to be stopping these trucks unless witnesses placed one nearby.

BTW: those Isuzu trucks are extremely common here in CO, and I seem to recall seeing a lot of them when I spent a couple of weeks in Rockville a year or so ago. It'd be a pretty good disguise, if you ask me.

This is EXACTLY when Anthrax spreading was more deadly psychologically, than the WTC and Pentagon, which people outside of those areas could put more or less at distance...even though still horrified. With a sniper, the psychological ramifications are great. This all comes almost a year to the week when people were paralyzed in fear of anthrax in letters, on coffee table tops, etc. These dudes are effective. We will kick their assess yet, though.

I would guess the FBI guys are working their butts off to stop this guy(s).(Yes I have faith in this crew).

We should get something out of the White House soon at least from Homeland Security (If they ever pass the damn bill). It may have to be vague but that is what we are dealing with at this time.

The very truth of the matter is that our government cannot put a one to one guard on us to protect us anymore than we can protect our children every moment of the day.

Just pray that they get this group quickly.

He is hard to listen to. But for many of us in the country who know next to nothing about him he doesn't come across well.

That being said, I felt horrible for him, watching him as he said when a child is shot it crosses the line. It's hard to watch someone trying to do their job while they are obviously trying to deal with this emotionally. I also hope you are getting all the information you need.

As I've said, I have sisters, family and friends in Rockville and area. I have been living this ALL week. When I mentioned to friends at church yesterday (PHX) how much this was upsetting me, most said hadn't even heard about it!!! They must live in caves.
