Another broad-daylight shooting just occurred, this time in Fredericksburg, VA, just off I-95. It's not even on the news yet.
About an hour's drive south of where the Montgomery County shootings happened, a woman was shot in the parking lot of a Michaels fabric store. My wife was in the store at the time. The victim had left the store and carried her purchases to her minivan. She unlocked the minivan and was loading her stuff into it when she was shot. No sign of the shooter.
No one else was injured.
The woman was taken away in an ambulance, condition unknown. Her license plate (which I'm not going to post) indicated that she had several children.

The various .223 caliber cartriges are accurate to 400 yd from a contender.I'm impressed, I love my T/C, but 400 yards is way beyond my talents.

using a suppressor on his firearmThat wont matter much with a .223 - sonic crack can still be heard. The supressor does, however, make it more difficult to determine the origin of the shot.

Montgomery County Police are looking for a white box truck that was seen leaving the scene of one of the deadly shootings on Thursday.
They are asking anyone with information to call them at (240) 777-2600.

That is the whole point. By eliminating the muzzle crack, all you get is the supersonic flight signature. This will give you conflicting reports from witnesses and usually mask the true capabilities of the shooter. If a shooter is really good, he can use the supersonic crack of the bullet to really do some psyche jobs on the people down range.

It's beyond mine too, without a rest.
I prefer rifles anyway - Like the man said, only a fool takes a pistol to a gunfight.

Another craft store! They are shooting at people mowing the lawn, getting gas, vacuuming out vehicles, sitting on a park bench and picking up crafts. People who are doing ordinary things.
If they wanted to create terror, they are right on track.
To: Route66
Could be they just discovered that these locations provide easy targets and favorable physical layouts for their attacks.Very possible; I also wonder if the first hit (at Michael's in MD) wasn't simply a miss, and another Michael's was visited for that reason. That would imply some vanity on the part of the shooter.

No, it was teflon coated handgun ammunition.

thanks. maybe police haven't connected this, but I have. people don't just get shot in craft store parking lots for no reason (at least outside of DC)

I read in the Wash Post today ....witnesses heard loud booms...like a car backfire.

Interesting catch. Something to look for if more shootings continue. Hope he isn't gonna go for a smiley-face pattern. Also hope that none of the goofballs shows up here to claim that the pattern depicts the nosehairs of Moses and thus proof that the rapture is starting to punish Bush for some perceived snub of Israel.
Still no mention on news TV of Frediricksburg shooting. Though there was quite a positive response on Talk Back Live when one of the guests asked why the word 'terrorism' is not being mentioned at all in the TV coverage of these shootings.

Think the cops got enough notice to form roadblocks? Think any witnesses this time as to type vehicle? My guess is no, as these guy(s) are selecting targets where no witnesses are in sight.

That's very good. You may really have something there...

SIDEBAR ITEM...Michael Dupey, the founder of 'Michael's Craft Stores' recently opened a new wholesale store in Dallas - Mports (located at Webb's Chapel and Forest Lane). When we were down there on
Monday or Tuesday, a glass door was boarded up and at least one bullet hole was visible in the front window of the store. When we asked Mr. Dupey about it, he made an offhand comment about certain competitors not being happy with his new enterprise.
Not speculating by any means that there is a connection, just thought it was interesting...
