WASHINGTON Katherine Harris will kick off a national publicity tour for her book, "Center of the Storm," on NBC's "Today" show Monday, with other appearances on Fox News Channel, CNN, Sean Hannity's syndicated radio show, MSNBC and CBS.
"Center of the Storm" is the first book published by WND Books, a partnership between Thomas Nelson Publishers and WorldNetDaily.com. It provides a historical analysis of the remarkable dead-heat 2000 presidential election that turned on a few hundred ballots in Florida in which Harris, then Florida's secretary of state, certified George W. Bush the winner over then-Vice President Al Gore. The book details what Harris learned about life and leadership in those difficult days and months that followed the presidential election.
"I was not an expert on life and leadership when the storm broke around me on Nov. 7, 2000, nor during the turbulent 36 days that followed," writes Harris, now a candidate for a seat in the U.S. Congress from southern Florida. "Nevertheless, I learned a great deal about how to weather an unexpected storm. I discovered where to find the necessary moral reserves, where to turn for help, and how to address mistakes, while staying true to my fundamental convictions."
"We are very excited to provide the outlet for Katherine Harris to set the record straight and to unveil the woman behind the malaise, who found herself in the midst of extraordinary circumstances with the eyes of the world upon her," said Joseph Farah, co-founder of WND Books and editor and chief executive officer of WorldNetDaily, as well as a syndicated columnist.
It was pretty good, though it could have used some sylistic editing. Some real leadership stuff and I'm trying to get my friends to read it so they don't think she's a witch. This comingup blitz is gonna be great! I can't wait to see the look on Katie Colic's face ;)
