he can attack his crappy voting record and stance on many issues very dear to so many in the country in the post 9/11 world.

He should definitely point out his opponents record, but I think his primary goal should be to make this election a referendum on the election and what was done by the Democrats. He should be running against the Democratic powerbrokers who abused the system and portray Lautenberg as a poor old fellow who got sucked up in this scheme.

Agreed. I'd let the lawyers fight it out in court and Forrester doesn't have to mention it very often, unless asked by the press.

He should point out that his "new" opponent received ZERO votes in the primary and has no right to be on the ballot. Torricelli ran unopposed in the primary. So if he bows out of the race it's tough luck. Torricelli was running for office. NOT the Democratic party. And they have no right to appoint Lautenberg as the "new" candidate.
